Yes, We're Doing This

So for a little background info on the pod: Right now we are ahead about four weeks. So when you listen to a pod, we recorded it about four weeks ago. We like to stay ahead! But then Squid Game happened and we are throwing a big wrench in our schedule. Lia and I (Megan) watched it. It's not an Amy drama, just like Strangers From Hell (lol), so she sat this one out.

Anyway, we are recording a special episode this weekend (hopefully) and will publish a Squid Game podcast next Wednesday. N...

Q: Should I watch Squid Game if I’m sensitive to violence?

A: No.

Megan’s finished. I’m on Episode 5 so no spoilers in this post please! But we’ve been asked this question a few times. Squid Game is a pretty damn compelling drama. But if you can’t handle violence—give it a hard pass.

Cannot wait to talk about this one though!

More Nine-Tailed Craziness?

Okay so two listeners blew up our IG instagram this morning about this news. What do you all think? Will these be like prequels? I am actually a little baffled at this news! (And if you haven't listened to our Deep Dive on Nine-Tailed, I highly recommend. Lots of hilarity and wheezing.)

Three Best K-Dramas to Binge When You Have Anxiety (by Lia)

It’s 2021. If you don’t have a measure of anxiety—msg me ASAP so I can learn your secrets.

Must watch Kpop cover!

I promised more Kpop recs and that includes when these talented groups do covers. I haven't heard of N.Flying before but this cover of theirs is making the rounds on social media and I can see why. It's amazing!

Anyone else have favorite covers done by a Kpop group?

When K-Drama Goes Meta (by Amy)

Welcome, welcome new patrons! Thank you so very much for subscribing. We are thrilled you're joining us to talk all things K-Drama. It's Amy here, and I have to ask if you all love as much as I do when dramas go meta and reference other dramas as little easter eggs for the fans. We are all watching Zombie Detective right now for our upcoming recording, and I am loving all the shout outs to other dramas/movies including Boys Over Flowers and Train to Busan. And I think this is the first time I...

A Few Fun Facts About Hometown Cha Cha Cha (by Lia)

I am twiddling my thumbs because there is a Kim Seon-ho sized hole in my heart that will only be filled by the next episode of HCCC.

So while I bide my time—here are some not-so-spoilery fun facts about the drama that have caught my eye.

Welcome

Hello Delights! Welcome to our Patreon, where we hope to provide a fun community where you can come talk about Kdramas to your heart's content.

If you're not familiar with the AfterNoonas, we are Amy, Lia, and Megan. Amy loves epic romances and Lee Minho, Lia loves thought-provoking slice-of-life dramas, and Megan's kryptonite is a great action drama (with kissing).

A few houskeeping notes: Patreon has a handy app, so you can download that if you'd like to access our c...
