Mortal Kombat's Jade is Next!

Here's the draft for the next in the Kombat Queens series: Jade! I ran into the same problems I had with Skarlet--getting decent references is not as easy as you'd think. At least I found plenty for her face, which is going to be a fun challenge to work on as she has a very unique facial structure. I should hopefully be getting the game soon and will be able to grab more references!

Another Exclusive in the Works!

Not content with just hair and mask variants, I've realised that I could absolutely provide an even better exclusive: Kold War!Skarlet!

The mask and hair variants will be timed exclusives, i.e. they will be publicly available down the line, but Kold War!Skarlet will be just for you guys! Here's a preview of the costume, now in progress!

Belated holiday comics~

Last year, I had attempted to get a Halloween and Christmas comic put out, buuuut was unable to because by that time, my job had me working longer shifts and many consecutive days. Yikes.

Both of these comics were mostly finished. Will they be completed? Yes. Will I post them? Yes. Will I add a note poking fun at myself for being a year late? Absolutely!

NEW PHONE, WHO DIS

Good news, everyone! Thanks to my lovely mother, I was able to get a new phone for free. This is a big deal as it enables me to upload my sketches here on Patreon through the app! I may also be able to post short videos!

On Life support, but still chugging along

Hey, guys. I know it's been nearly an entire month since the last update. I've grown depressed over my job (which is stressing me more with each passing week), and am increasingly worrying over my art as I'm not sure I can make anything of value.

Of work woes and comic raws

Lord. I thought when the holidays ended, my hours would be reduced.

I've been working an average of 35-40 hours a week, which is fine since it helps maintain financial responsibility, but the downside is that lately I've had shifts that work me for nearly 10 hours (currently averaging 8.5-9 hours), which leaves me too tired to be productive and just make art for fun rather than work.

Getting hyped about Mortal Kombat 11, and I am absolutely in love with Skarlet's design--NRS have really stepped up their design skills, and took an uninspired design and made her look AMAZING. This sketch is exclusively for the eyes of you lovely patrons!

Tekken Coaster Arts in the works!

Inspired by the Square Enix Cafe's collection coasters, I've drafted up a few Tekken coasters that I hope will take off! While the current set shows Dragunov, Kazuya, Lars (of course), Nina, Xiaoyu, and Alisa, the second half of the set will include Jin, King, Lee, Leo, Asuka, and Lili! More characters may be added if there is a demand for them, ofc! The drafts for the second set will be posted for you all here once they're ready!

So, it's looking like my hours at work are holding pretty steadily. Typically, my hours are cut after the holidays, and while it was no exception this year, the cuts weren't nearly as bad as last year. There's no telling what the next couple of months will bring, but I would like to strike while the iron is hot. I'm going to look into getting merch made of some of the designs I've shared (and a few I'll be sharing soon enough!). Any stickers made will be given out to all of you lovely Patrons...

I'm trying a different direction with my art as of late, trying to do something with more emphasis on designs and motif and most importantly based on my own ideas. I've teased these designs for weeks, so I'm pleased to finally start rolling these out!

December is a rough time for me as I work retail, and while I've been able to make time to work on some new pieces for you guys to enjoy--it's been very slow in the process due to my fatigue levels after work, which has been very demanding at this time of year. The good news is that after Tuesday, things will start slowing down at my job, and I'll be able to provide something before the end of the month, and once January rolls in and...

Digital art is hard

This took a few months of off-and-on work--it's for me to sit down and work on digital art; often times I have to stream it so I feel as though I have a purpose, but since there's pieces I want to keep lowkey for now, I gotta find other means to get myself to work on them (that's why music is a wonderful thing!)

I wasn't sure what I'd draw to commemorate the second anniversary of Final Fantasy XV, and then I accidentally sketched this idea of Noct based on the final campsite. I pretty much knew what to do from there!

So, I have to ask; I'm sharing a fair bit of my original ideas--would it be worthwhile to collect these all into a zine, or make merch, or what? I would love to put out an artbook at some point that collects these illustrations, both original and fanart. What think you?
