Okay so by now most of you know I have a THING for Lego. Those component parts, the visual shorthand, the way small elements come together OOOO do I ever like it.
I’ve been trying my hand at painting Lego figures and sets because making them look like the complete figure while still showing individual bricks is a very pleasant challenge.

I have been thinking a lot about holding space for others. When people share their hurt I often want to rush in and resolve. Often everything in me wants to fix the problem or see the good. Sometimes that's what's being asked but often it isn't. I've been trying to notice more when I can just make room, meet someone where they're at. Lovely humans, did you know I love my work so much? I wouldn’t trade it for anything. That said, working for yourself does mean letting go of some of the stability working in more traditional jobs offers.
This is one of the (endless) reasons why I appreciate you all so much. Consistent, stable income is such a huge benefit in creative professions.

Dropping a little early release of this video for you folks before it goes out into the world. I love these little portable watercolours and I got my hands on their new metallics set recently.
