Release 2.7.4, 2.7.3, and 2.7.2

Wow we have been hard at work getting 2.7.2 out the door we ended up having to turn around 2.7.3 and 2.7.4 shortly afterwards to fix some unexpected bugs that cropped up. It is very hard to deliver a cross-platform application that is deployed over 20 different ways (especially on Linux), you never know what will happen!

2.7.0 is a Wrap!

Finally after spending almost a year in the making, we are a wrap on 2.7.0. The last Pull Request is in final approval and will be merged shortly (Windows Hello Quick Unlock). After that we will package a release candidate for wider testing for a week or so. We have over 140 merged pull requests and 89 closed issues with this release. A full changelog will be posted by weeks end.

Development status

Hello loyal patrons and supporters of KeePassXC. I hope this message finds you all healthy and secure after such a devastating year. We are proud to at least protect your digital life during these times. I wanted to give everyone a status update on where we are at. 

You may have noticed a little slow down in our development. We were hoping our hired help from the BASICS project would accelerate our pace... but unfortunately he was offered another position that he couldn't turn down...

Development Update

2.7.0 PROGRESS UPDATE

First off, I need to thank everyone for their incredible support to this project. I am motivated to provide an exceptional experience to all of our users and continually improve and secure KeePassXC now and in the future. To all of our loyal Patrons, Happy Holidays and Happy New Year. We have been hard at work throughout 2020 laying the foundations for major improvements to KeePassXC in the 2.7 baseline. In the meantime we are readying a release of 2.6.3 to round out some minor bug and performance improvements.

Recently we purchased a Macbook Pro to improve the usability and usage of TouchID. Looking forward to great improvements in 2021 for KeePassXC.

2.6.0 is Released

This release is the culmination of a year’s worth of effort from across our development team and dedicated contributors. With 2.6.0 comes a complete overhaul of the user interface with custom themes (both light and dark), icons, and exciting features. 2.5.2 and beyond

KeePassXC 2.5 Baseline Released

A bit more than half a year has passed since the last major release of KeePassXC, we are very proud to announce the release of the KeePassXC 2.5 Baseline!

The new release comes with a large number of new features and improvements. A few key additions that are worth highlighting are the ability to create a paper backup of your database for safe storage of your credentials away from your computer, a brand-new database statistics panel, a redesigned unlock dialog, a rework...

No More Stickers!

I have officially run out of stickers from the original batch purchase! This is good news and bad news. Good because that means we have had a steady stream of generous Patrons. Bad because I don't have anything to give out anymore.

I don't necessarily want to buy the same batch of stickers. Does anyone have any suggestions? What would my long-term Patrons want to see?

KeePassXC 2.4.1 Released

After the dust settled with the 2.4.0 release, we were hard at work fixing all the issues that were identified by our wide and varied customer base. We released 2.4.1 last week and are very proud of where the 2.4.x series has come. This is by far the most feature complete and best performing cross-platform password manager in the world. Funding Bounties

Would patrons like to see funds be used to promote bug/feature bounties for KeePassXC and KeePassXC-Browser Extension? We have now collected enough, and are sustainable, to promote up to $200 per month in bounties. If someone knows of a reputable bounty program please post in the comments.
