In case you've seen the other "Discovery" paintings I did a while back, you may recognize this stunning explorer. She discovered something again in that jungle, but I'm not sure if this is what she was hoping for. It might be cannibals or it might be vegans but something's not what she expected. Expectially not in the attachment...😁

I recently watched Zombieland and thought (once again) that the logo with the Columbia lady smacking the zombies with her torch, preceding the movie, was very funny so I was inspired to do this. Completely different and no direct mention of the producing company, but still obviously inspired by it. It happens. Having fun with striking stuff coming by is unavoidable.

It's actually the first Saturday in May but I didn't get the right vibe earlier. And her garden was a mess, so it needed much more than just the day or the week. It's not a thing in my town really which is a crying shame, although the closest neigbors here definitely wouldn't look this good in that attiire (Either version 😂)

60K

My page on DeviantArt is about to reach 60K watchers, and I think that's an awesome number. Also a bit weird to know and that's what the cartoon comes from. But awesome nonetheless. I did expect watcher's growth to come to a screeching halt when I moved all noodity here. It did slow down but look where it ended up now.

Still about 22 watchers to go, even though my profile there already says 60K, but I thought I'd make the celebratory picture early because last minute is always a hassle....

Another mhb drawclubchallenge that appealed to me. And why not? It's totally in my realm. It's not a contest, it's just an incentive to paint a random idea in one's own style. There are idea's I don't get, so I will skip them but some are really close to what i love to do.

Like I've explained earlier; a painting in a particular theme rarely comes alone. While I'm working on one I'm already thinking about different scenes and poses for another. Not much I can do about it. I just go with the flow. Sometimes I make several more sketches while I'm in the middle of painting something related, or even not related at all. Artist's block is an unknown phenomenon for me. Never had a moment that I didn't know what to paint, yet. I did start stuff only to find out that it...
