Panther Queen

Actually a complete do-over of an older painting I did. You may have seen it on Instagram or Facebook. I like it better because of the panthers and the composition. It's more like a book cover now and I always like that, even though I don't really aim for it.

Sunny Good Morning

As it happens, I just saw this image in my head and tried to paint it. Turned out pretty if you ask me. It looks better in the buff but who, looking this way, doesn't?  I would have added a cup of coffee as that makes me even happier in the morning, but that hasn't been made yet. When you like that delivery person too much and it's always the same person too. 

No nudity, one of those rare ones, as that wouldn't make much sense here, but sexy nonetheless.

Blue

Just emerged from a colour (and anatomy on the side) study to see how it would look. And I must say, it does look good to me. It turned out to a pretty classic pinup. I hope you'll enjoy it. 

Queen Bathing (new version)

The more I looked at it the less I liked the censored version. Just too much dress. So, I had to change it, before posting it elsewhere. It happens. Not too often I'm happy to say. 

I post it here as well so that you can see that my process has its hick ups like most.
I didn't spend too much time on the bikini thing though. It's about trickery.   

Vogue

I did something similar to this about 20 years ago. It was actually a (dressed like this) cartoon for a girl band in the making and I thought I'd sort of use the En Vogue; "Free your Mind" video from the 1990's as a loose inspiration because I thought that was awesome and it did fit well.
I liked the song as well as the mood and execution of the video.

Art student distracted from that wonderful model he should be painting. What can I say, it can happen. Model looks so much better in the buff by the way, but the prudes are messing things up for everybody, so I'll keep that under the Patron lock and key.

The Artist

Here's me, spoon feeding chicken porridge to one chick that had a bad start but is on the mend. She's accepted by the others but they do try to steal her food of course. They're just being chickens. So, here's proof that I do other stuff besides painting. Don't worry, I'll not flood the feed with selfies :D I thought you might like to meet the guy behind the art. Witching

Just something that I saw before me when I watched a series on netflix with woods like this. I had to paint it to see if I would achieve the mood and atmosphere I saw.
I did. I actually think this is one of the best fantasy pix I ever made. However, as it isn't really sexy but more ominous and mysterious it'll probably not be anywhere in the like charts on other social media as cute and sexy is more popular there.  

For insta or Facebook I'd make up a story about walking my dog ...

Bettie Page Bed

I love the Bettie Page look even though she's from before my time. I'm always hoping that someone will be able to fill her shoes without tats or piercings and with that completely natural and at times innocent, and at other times naughty, flair and elegance. So, I paint Bettie Page now and again even though I doubt that her shoes can be filled by others. Times have changed. Social media are prudish as if we're still in the 1800's and that just isn't good soil for natural beauty to bloom. Howe...

Queen Bathing

The frock doesn't make that much sense here but I'd not want to set off the social media alarms with stuff that'll go public soon.  :)At least the general shape is still intact. I love the simplicity of it. The contrast between the dark skin in a lighter setting just works for me. You should see the less dressed original version. Tales of Passion

I just love these types of little intimate pictures. I can paint them all day. They're not nearly as easy as the simplicity of the scene would suggest. Anatomically they're pretty difficult, shading is never the same and colouring isn't either. When they fail for some reason, and they do often, I just throw them away or they stay in the work in progress folder forever, waiting for me to see how to fix it. This one went pretty well. Queens and king

Another chess related painting. The pieces were already dormant in my work in progress folder for ages as I tried something like this before and failed,  but these Queens are brandnew and now I like it. The previous painting of a chess game gone wild was painted after I decided to work on this again, but got finished first.

Bedroom Secrets

I doodle sometimes to try out stuff quickly, settings, poses, expressions, even hair styles or just plain colours and shading. I usually end up throwing it out, but...sometimes...it works for me. Usually I have a hard time to make it work as a picture that has a story though. But that worked out pretty well here as well. I leave it to your own imagination what the story would be but the title may serve as a clue 😊 

Blind Sculptor

Honestly, I thought about whether this could really be done and I would like to try some day. Not that it will happen because I doubt someone would actually like to be the model for it. It would be a bit too touchy-feely by nature. It seems like a serious challenge though that I would like to tackle with a blindfold. Might even work well as a tv-show.

Red Hoodie

This is what I call a quicky. Still takes hours but it's not preceded by sketch but instantly rendered. All grown up Red Riding Hood and pretty alluring too. Wolf in the background could just be a formation of trees that look like a wolf. If it is not a wolf.

Boudoir stuff interests me because it tells small and intimate sexy and sensual stories (if done right of course) that can spark the imagination. What just happened or what will happen next?

Well, the stockings aren't that necessary but it gives it a classic feel right away, even without the more antique looking furniture. The corset and the panties are quite necessary because I'd get in trouble on Instagram and Facebook in a hurry of course.

Laced Up

Love this type of image. Because of the interaction it's not as easy as it may look. It's pretty difficult to get dimensions and poses right because it's all connected in a way. And not just by the laces. That's why I like painting these. It's always challenging.

Can't Concentrate

I don't really play chess as I rather play FPS video games but if I would, I'd lose playing against her. Impossible to concentrate. Even more so with the less dressed version 😎
If you wonder why I paint redheads on a regular basis, I'm married to one, so it is rather logical. Also, I've heard that their numbers seem to be decreasing which would really be a massive loss for diversity.  

Sofa Selfie

It proved not a good development for photographers, the fact that modern technology made selfies so much easier and of pretty good quality too. However, real photography does it better (most of the time). The interaction between photographer and model, the fact that the model only has to think about being, and can forget about technical or esthetical details like composition, expression and lighting can lead to much better and more intense results. Jungle Queen

Here's what became of the sketch I posted earlier. Tigers are difficult to paint, for me at least, because I don't get to paint them a lot and if I do I don't want to just use a photo and work from that. I like it to be all new because that's what gives it my soul in my opinion. I do look at a whole bunch of tiger photos in advance to see how they're built, striped and how they express themselves. Chinese Queen

I've posted an initial sketch for this much earlier, but as it happens, it didn't work when I was trying to paint it. I should've saved and posted the new sketch that resulted in this as well but I didn't think it would work eitherat that time and was past that before I knew it. It did work but the sketch got assimilated in the painting in the process. I have to get used to a new way of working.

Surfing Girl

Even though we're in a cold spell here, I thought a warmer picture would get us in the mood for spring and summer already. Those swimmers probably thought the same thing but might not like what else is in the ocean....😜
