Hello!

Posing the mannequin

Today I rigged the mannequin and tried out a few poses. I also added a few background elements to give me an idea of how the final image might look.

While useful, it has made me realise that having the ability to fire out some thumbnail sketches would be much more efficient, so that's something to practice on!

Next Lessons: The Legs!

Poor Nani (if you know, you know)

Hi all, how are you getting on with the 3D challenge?

Here's my first (very late) update! I WILL make these weekly asap, just been struggling to get on top of work but we're getting there now. Not quite sure how I'm gonna get this finished in 4 days though! 🙈 🙈

DannyMac3D Art Challenge - May 2024

In case you're not part of the discord community (which I strongly recommend), I recently announced that there will be a (hopefully monthly) art challenge for my patrons. Each month a new theme will be revealed and the goal is to create a 3D character / artwork based on that theme. I explain all the details (so far) in the video above :)

Next Lesson - The Torso

Just a quick update to let you know in the next lesson we're going to be looking at the torso.

At first I had planned to approach these lessons similar to the head course - by building up shapes step by step - and we will! But as I started planning out the lesson it occurred to me how important it is to know why we create these shapes. I started building an ecorche to represent the anatomy of the Nani character I've been working on in February.
