KoD Interview

To shake things up, this week we're going to post an interview Sierra did with LewdGamer:

https://www.lewdgamer.com/2017/01/14/interview-sierra-lee-creator-last-sovereign/

The interview covers a number of subjects, but starting midway down, you'll find some new information about KoD. Most notably, there's a piece of art that we have yet to release anywher...

KoD Preview: Working Her Way Up

New week, so we're going to focus on a new building! In this case, actually more of a whole system. The highlighted area above is the central part of the orc camp, a grubby common area - when Sabia starts from the bottom, that's where she starts.

(If you're noticing the crudely drawn mouse, don't worry! Sierra is just testing using a custom mouse, but obviously Nomo will draw the real one!)

One of the choices players will have is for Sabia to work doing menial labor around the cam...

KoD Preview: Training

Today we're going to focus on a single one of the buildings we showed you several weeks ago, as each one has unique events attached to it. You can see the orc camp's training grounds above, highlighted by the mouseover effect.

Though KoD does have a level system, grinding Sabia levels will not be a major focus. You'll only receive experience from activities that are still a challenge for Sabia, leading to fewer but more interesting fights.

Sabia's strength in the game is mor...

KoD Preview: Politics

Happy holidays, everyone! We're still working, so our posts continue.

One thing we haven't shared with you yet is the core political aspect of the game. The setting is a land in the wake of a war that pitted humans against everyone else, but the game isn't going to be a two-sided conflict.

There are a variety of races in this world, including elves, minotaurs, succubi, and catgirls. Each has their own agendas and factions, and if Sabia wants to have her revenge, she'll need to navigate b...

Clothing + Patron Picks!

One of the things we've been working on for the first release and wanted to share in more depth is the clothing system for Kingdom of Deception. Clothing plays a role in the game, both socially and for the sex scenes.

You can see that from the screenshot we shared last week: Sabia's armor is taken away from her and she's forced to wear rags. As she tries to regain power, she'll be able to wear both different kinds of armor and special outfits. These won't all be as straightforward a...

Development Update

Hello, everyone!

We have been quietly building the foundation of Kingdom of Deception for a while now, but now the time has come that we can share some of what we've finished. There will be more updates over the coming weeks, too, including more character introductions and information about the game's fundamental mechanics. Enough is finished to show you screenshots of gameplay, and as we finish more pieces you'll see more screenshots and gameplay footage.

Today, though, we'...

Neve Reveal

Today we're going to introduce a major character for Kingdom of Deception: Neve Silnael.

When the Kingdom of Lundar began establishing itself, it didn't seek to exterminate every other race. Some received special treatment, particularly the various species of elves. Many have found places in the new society as servants, sex slaves, or a new underclass.

Neve stands outside this system, contemptuous of it. She freely ...
