Oh lawd, she comin'!

I've actually been wanting to draw this forever! Long ago I had the idea for the gamer cats to be the ghosts in Pacman and Annoying Fairy the chomper, but I never did think of a decent joke to use it for. It finally dawned on me the other day that I could go ahead and use the idea for a wallpaper! I had so much fun converting them into ghosts, they look so silly.

We're half way through the year, so it's time for a quick wallpaper recap =^w^=

Wallpaper #56 - Sun & Sand

Summer is in full swing! It's been so hot where I am lately. I wish I could go swimming.

We're unfortunately not able to enjoy summer to the fullest this year, but that doesn't stop Gamercat from soaking up some rays. As for me, I'm actually not too fond of the beach itself, but I do like walking the boardwalk. As long as I'm not in the sand and salty water!

Wallpaper #55 - The Journey

So I was feeling a bit nostalgic this month. I wanted to do some sort of throwback for June's wallpaper, and after browsing through some of my earliest comics, I landed on the idea of doing a Journey image. The comic I did for that game is still one of my favorites, and I still can't believe it was immortalized in the official art book!

I hope you all will continue to indulge my "May Flowers" themes for this month, because (in case you can't tell) I LOVE FLOWERS!!

This time I thought it would be fun to have Glitch adorning a napping Gamercat with some lovely natural decorations. I'm sure it won't aggravate his hay fever or anything.

Wallpaper #53 - Rainy Day Buddy

April has been true to it's reputation and we've had endless showers this month, but it's also the time of year for ducklings! I've seen so many adorable little cheepers waddling about and I melt into a puddle of goo every time.

I thought it would be cute to have Gamercat meeting a little friend in the rain, so that's the theme for this month. I love how serene it came out and I hope it's calming to anyone who uses it.

So it's time for another break update. I'll cut to the chase for anyone who doesn't want to read a lot - I'm going to remain on indefinite hiatus for now. I really have no idea when I'll start again.

I know this is disappointing, and I'm sorry. I was really hoping that as I got closer to the 1 year mark for the break that I would feel like returning. I'm pretty sure I'll eventually get back there, I just need to stay "pawsed" for now, especially with all the extra stress and anxiety fro...

Wallpaper #52 - Spring Breeze

Spring is finally coming! We've had a few warm days where we were able to open the windows, and it was utter bliss. Our cats love to perch on the sills and take in the fresh air, so it gave me the idea for this month's wallpaper.

I know times are scary right now, but remember to pause and take in the simple pleasures. Relax, take a deep breath, and clear your mind whenever you can. We'll get through this!

I love making Gamercat all confident and sassy for Valentine's wallpapers! I actually wasn't sure if I could get his tiny paws into the class heart shape gesture, but it worked out pretty well. I also tried to tone down the red a little since it can be an intense color depending on screen settings, so hopefully it doesn't make any eyes bleed =^w^=;;

Wallpaper #50 - Firelight Snuggles

Wow, 50 wallpapers! I can't believe I've done so many! o__o

I'm sorry this wallpaper is coming so  late in the month. I was a little stuck on what to do this time, but after the past week or two of frigid temperatures I was inspired to do something warm and snuggly. I also love drawing Gamercat and Glitch being cuddly, so once I landed on an idea it was great fun to draw <3

Wallpaper #49 - Soft Snow

Man, the end of the year has been quite a whirlwind. Going from Inktober in October, to Nekocon and Black Friday in November, and then straight out to MFF last weekend has me feeling a big haggard. I'm also about to leave town for 3 weeks to visit family for the holidays, so the adventuring isn't over yet!

Wallpaper #48 - Warm Chill

I love autumn, and one of my favorite things is finding a cozy spot in the sun to warm myself while the brisk air swirls around. It's such an interesting sensation to be at once warm and chilled!

I went a little crazy with the lighting and colors this time, so I hope it isn't too intense. It was a lot of fun though, I love creating warm glows.

General Update

Hey guys, been a while so I wanted to give an update on things in general.

I have made huge improvements in both my physical and mental state this year. I still have work to do, but I really can't thank you guys enough for being so kind and supportive when I decided to go on break from the comic. It was such a difficult decision and it would've been much harder without so many people saying such nice things.

Wallpaper #47 - Come Hither

Not gonna lie, Halloween wallpapers are my favorite *__* I love doing a spoopy atmosphere and throwing in creepy slit-eyed Gamercat. I tried to use different colors this time, as I tend to default towards deep blue-purples, but throwing in an orange tinge for the lantern really made for a cool just-after-dark look.

I did have a sketch of Gamercat pigging out on Halloween candy which I almost went with, but I liked this one more. Maybe I'll save the other one for next year!

Holy cow, September has been intense. And I thought it was going to be a take-it-easy month! I've had some serious highs and lows, including a frightening hurricane threat, but overall I'm doing okay and I hope you guys are too.

Happy July, everybody! I hope you had a fun and safe 4th. I spent it working a convention myself, but that's okay ^__^

Life Update - Taking it Easy

Hey everyone, just wanted to give you guys an update on things like I said I would :)

It's been just over a month since I went on break and it's been so very nice. I started with a major health break where I did my best to stop working on literally everything in order to relax and recover, and my pain has lessened significantly, which is such a relief. Sometimes you don't realize how much stress and anxiety that constant pain causes you until you get a break from it!

I've been wanting to do an Animal Crossing wallpaper for forever, so I finally decided to do it this month! I've been playing a lot of Pocket Camp while I wait for the Switch game to come out this year, so it's influenced by that version. Happy March, everyone! I wanted to forgo the usual St. Patrick's Day theme this year and instead had some fun with dragon-cat. A lot of people seemed to like Gamercat's Spyro design in the recent comics, so I thought it would make a good wallpaper. It was a lot of fun to do the angle and fire effects and was just a nice change of pace overall! I hope you guys like it!

It's time to archive the past wallpapers from February!

I really enjoy the silly, obnoxious romanticism of Valentine's Day, so my wallpapers always end up with that theme. Maybe some day I'll make some corny Valentine's Day cards with Gamercat and they will be amazingly awful and full of bad puns.

Wallpaper #39 - Best Buds

Ahh, it's February, and love is in the air! But let's not forget the friends we love, too ;)
