Jump Tanks progress

I havent painted like this for some time so I expect some trial and error. Nice to try something different though!

Unused rough

Done for the game Bakumatsu Engi. As mentioned before, the game`s setting is the Bakumatsu era. The character is Kurokomano Katsuzou(mouth full?) done in December 2014. The reason this wasnt used was because they wanted me to make the pose and expression less sinister. 

I hope I can post the finish pieces sometime in the near future.

Ill start sending out November rewards towards the end of this weekend.

Spent some time after work to do some personal work.

Finished most of it at work. Went home to rest a bit then finished the rest. 

KDS has to be one of my favorites of the Ghibli movies. This was a very short scene in the movie but from what I got from it, it seemed she was a bit unsure about where she was and/or missing home. For me, it isnt too far removed from my experience living in Japan and Ive had the same feeling from time to time.

My coworker drawing me in my painting while I was taking break lol.

Kiki fan art rough WIP

Im now painting at work with two of my coworkers. They allowed us to stay at work over night so we`ll probably be here until 5-6am doing personal works. I didnt start recording until I got to the colour rough. I saved the video about an hour and a half in, started a new video, paused it around 18 minutes to take a break, then Windows 7 update just forced a restart 20 minutes after I clicked Update later. Was kinda pissed about that, but must go on.

Jump Tanks - Ilatia

For this character, they wanted me to base her off of Gally/Alita from Gunnm/Battle Angel Alita. I was a big fan BAA for a long while so this was a fun one to draw up. I still need to finish reading BAA: Last Order!

You can probably see that the rough and line are a different height than the colour. During the colour process, I had realized that the body was too long so I cut the waist and legs down a bit.

Commission WIP 2

Here is the commissioner`s character Juliet, along with the current progress. He wanted to go with the 3rd thumbnail from the last post. A cocky character who uses a bat for hunting, so I tried to make a pose and expression to reflect that. I may have to rework the expression a bit more though.

Pose practishizzles

I had just rewatched One Punch Man ep 1 then watched ep 2 afterwards and it lit a fire in my a$$ to draw some action poses from the head. I generally try to imagine the pose or feel myself doing the pose before I start drawing on paper pulling from what I know. All the while trying to keep the stokes to a minimum. Doing studies in pen help with confidence in your strokes. I need more ink in my life. And it needs me...

There are other times when maybe I have no ideas for a pose so I just start ...
