IMPORTANT!

Hello my lovely Patrons, this is important update! I'm sure you've noticed the lack of updates this month and I wanted to talk about it. In upcoming month my Patreon will have little update. Since starting my page my health has changed and also my work situation so some changes has to be made here as well.  I'll let you know soon when I have everything planned out.  <3 I'm not quitting but I need to adjust some tier stuffs!!

So lately I've had some health problems which sucks and also I've had far more freelance work which is nice since being entrepreneur sometimes can be hard. Due to these things I haven't had time to post as much and I've felt bad about it.  I truly enjoy making cosplay but this month I just didn't have time as much and for that I apologize.

Lumi-Chan

Heyoo Epic Patrons! Before heading back to the cosplay zone I wanted to show a project me and Merryweather and their team have been working on. A Virtual Youtuber named Lumi! She's a comfy wolf. I also added my test track for you to enjoy!

This was my first time voice acting so I was kinda nervous yet excited.. It turned out cute and comfy and slightly awkward just as planned... I plan on cosplaying her at some point. :3

Merryweather recently relaunched the series on Webtoon so I wanted to do comfy costest because Anastasia is just so very cute. I love fantasy characters and elf ears so so much. :3

Update on Astolfo

Heyoo! I've been working on and off on Astolfo, but due to travelling I didn't get to finish the costume this month! I did good process tho and we took some comfy casual pictures. 

The wig used to be long pink lacefront which I then styled! 

All the materials I'm using for Astolfo are second hand or recycled. Which makes me super happy! <3

Holo progress pics & breakdown!

So I chose Holo because I suddenly realised that I had all materials second hand in my stash. It's time to break down the costume! Let's start from top:

Wig: Second hand wig from my friend! It used to be very nice lacefront wig but it had some glue on it so I felt okay cutting bangs. I think it turned out cute! 

Ears: I used light brown and white second hand fur! You can see from the detail pictures how  much shaving the fur  help with the details. I used eyeshadow for shading on the ears. For the attachments I used wig clips.

Tail: I haven't done the zigzag pattern on tails before so I'm super proud how it turned out! I filled it with old pillow stuffing.

Dress: Simple dress from some scrap/ second hand fabric. I made it bit comfy and loose For the ball on the belt I had old styrofoam ball on hand which I covered with worbla and then painted with acrylic paints. 

Necklace and The ankle strap: I used scrap pieces of leather which I then painted with fabric paints. I made these on the road so I had limited materials and techniques but I think they turned out cute! 

Shoes: Old school shoes from previous costume! 

Overall I am super happy how the costume turned out! This was the perfect costume for comfy midsummer photoshoot. I still have many pictures to edit. 

This was also my first time photoshooting in a lake but I'm happy how it turned out.  I wanted to show you guys how nice some of these pictures turned out. The two pics where I'm sitting on the rock ARE NOT EDITED AT ALL. NOTHING and look how nice they look. I'm sooo happy. It's so nice to have some sunlight here in Finland for a change. <3

I made my Holo cosplay from second hand materials which makes me super happy.  It was easy costume to make and it took me just few days to finish.

As you see my ''studio'' is fairly simple! Just some cheap curtain holders with few background options. For the lights I use one ring light and two floor lamps!

Shiro Cosplay Breakdown!

Let's break down Shiro's costume, as I said previously her costume is made out of second hand materials! 

Wig: I had some pastel wigs which my friend gifted me and also Chrome-chan's scraps. The fact I had so many pastelish materials just laying around sparked the idea to make Shiro! 

For my wigs I usually use hot glue because it's easy, fast and cheap method to combine wigs.  You'll have to be careful so you won't burn your fingers tho. 

My main base was the pastel blue wig. First I separated the bangs and the back piece of the wig. I saved the bangs for the end and started building my colorful ''mullet'' so to speak. 

I layered the wig fibers on top of each other using hot glue. I used wefts and also loose wig hair which is sometimes tricky to place. After my mullet was nice and THICCC I attached the top to the bottom to make a complete wig. 

I'm still going to style the wig bit further when I'm taking some pictures with her crown on! :)

For the costume I used second-hand fabrics which I got from my sister! The yellow is scraps from my Megumin costume. :3 The purple fabric is bit stretchy so my patterns were super simple and I made the costume in 3 hours  or so! 

For her crown I used cardboard and foam scraps. I didn't have ANY gems so I made them by pouring hot glue to silicone molds since I didn't have resin.  The crown is still work in progress. I shall finish it later.

Shiro selfies and comfy videos!

We took some pics of Shiro in the forest which was a bit of a struggle because it was such  a windy day. HAIR EVERYWHERE. I plan on taking some more appropriate pics of her when I have chance.

Hello my epic Patrons!  I hope you're doing well. 

I've got some fun projects coming this month. Each month I'd like to make at least three costumes. For now I have two planned!

So first I'll be working on little Easter Project with Merryweather and I'm making cute Bunny maid which I'll be designing myself! It's going to be made completely  out of second hand materials and I'm super excited for that.

Next one is going to be Nintendo Switch! I have all the materials for her in my stash so it's happening!!

I haven't yet decided third one. Any suggestions? 

I'm also editing more pictures, these things take a little bit time since I'm the one making the cosplay, photoshooting and editing everything. Thank you for patience. 

Anyways I just want to thank for all the epic support during these troublesome times. I hope I can cheer you guys up with comfy cosplays. <3

Safari Progress!

Hello hello hello!

Before diving into taking pics of Safari- Chan I wanted to share some process pics.

Safari-Chan has fairly simple design but I wanted to make it look super nice! 

I started making my wig by using basic white wig which I then dip dyed gray on the ends. I wanted to add some dimension so it's not just white plain wig. After that I trimmed the whole thing and glued the leftovers back to the wig so nothing is wasted! I decided to give her little curls to give some volume to her look. I think it turned out pretty cute. 

Sorry for the way my wig stand looks like. She has seen some wigs during these years.

After finishing my wig it was time to tackle the dress! I made pattern by wrapping myself in cling wrap and then covering half of my torso in duct tape. This is the best way to get fitting patterns. Then I just traced the pattern on paper and modified it.  When cutting fabric I always like to leave enough excess for adjustments. 

Not gonna lie, I was little bit nervous about making her dress but I think it turned out great.

Her little brooch is just printed Safari logo glued on cardboard and the edge is white worbla. 

OH and I also painted real apple white because it was the cheapest alternative during corona times. I didn't have to leave the house and I'm not even sure if they sell fake apples anywhere in Finland. Our craft stores are kinda plain at times. 

This costume took me around two days to make!
