With both goddesses installed as Administration Supervisors and each now in possession of a transport totem like my own, Destruction and I returned to Far Reach.

Peace remained in the Admin Hub to familiarize herself with the system and to bring her people out into their new home, temporary or otherwise.

My intention when I arrived at my altar was to release Destruction from the void Storage immediately. I hadn’t counted on being inundated the moment I appeared.

Outside, I found War still attacking the sphere, looking confused, and slightly worried. Natom, to my peculiar relief, was back inside the shield, battered but safe. Of Darkness, there was no sign and despite my urge to go and kill War, Destruction’s desperate pleading for my help took priority.

Chapter 55 A Different Light

My bonds flooded the moment I appeared in the temple back at Far Reach. Joel, Mal, Grigor, and Danivra were all there, waiting for word from me. As was Sania, who was now in my arms.

All I felt was relief at laying eyes on them. Whatever was happening here, one thing was certain: Far Reach still had a Sphere, and all of my people were still alive.

I attempted to collect Death’s body to see if there was anything I could do, but it had disintegrated into ash that now swirled in the gentle breeze of the peaceful tree-lined hilltop he’d fallen on.
