Cape with accurate tearings : how I do it

I have Vincent Valentine flash back

1- Draw in Photoshop with references so it's the same
2- Match the fabric by taking a photo and measuring
3- print the flipped design on regular paper
4- glue them together like a bloody puzzle
5- cut the useless from your life
6- buy some cheap calc paper
7- draw on top of the lines on the white side so you can see something
8- cut the fabric with tiny scissor (yes the ones for eyebrows are ok, I did it with that)
9- use fray...

We did this!

We got eyes everyone.
The black parts are the trickiest because if you mess up like -> me <- yesterday you have to remove the black completely and start over

Took all day for just the eyes, can you believe it. So precise!

Ugh. I made a big mistake today on the eyes of Emil and it sets me back! But I will try my very best to finish Emil this month.

Returning from the ashes

Lightning new jacket and turtle neck - done!

I did technically redid the front of what I started cause I wanted more space in the front! There is this whole thing about costumes that are fit like a glove, but you need some room at the same time! Making that happened is always my biggest nemesis.
Redid the belt too, as my old one, as you can see separated from each other ( faux leather layer just peeled off!)

My challenge of the week was to finish this lovely helmet in time and here it is!

This replica I made is more metallic than the replica they did for the collector. If you missed out, we got your back, friendos.

We have a body and almost a head

The head is all there is left to do and then it will be time to dress him up! He's cold.

Can't believe I made an articulated skeleton from scratch!

I like that Emil doesn't have a normal skeleton. It makes it a little more special.

The head will take me some time.
