Thanks to you eagle-eyed viewers it came to my attention that during retouching of the small icon I conserved, a few characters were inadvertently covered. I promised a followup addressing this, and here it is. This one won't come with an epilogue- I'll roll it into the previous Icon video and yes, I'll talk about some mistakes...

Since the dawn of painting people have been doing so on wood. It's amazing material capable of phenomenal feats. A material however, not without a unique suite of pitfalls.

We're always taught to be different, to go against the current and define our own path. This, by and large is sage advice but not without complexity. Blazing a new trail or being a maverick as it were, is exciting but can also lead to unexpected consequences for which the solution lies in, well, being a maverick as well.

Sometimes when a painting arrives one must simply pause and marvel at the damage, for when it's this extensive, it's pretty impressive. Suffice it to say, all hope is not lost and this painting situation will be transformed from Fowl to Pheasant.
