I’m currently targeting somewhere near or west of Memphis TX. I’ll likely fine tune once I’m there. Often these high risk days don’t live up to the hype. I don’t think that’s the case today. MAY 17, 2019 TORNADOES SNEAK PEEK

Was finally able to score decent sleep last night. Started dumping footage and editing away this morning. I'm hoping to have a YouTube upload ready by tonight, but just in case there's not enough time, here's a crude edit and some pretty shots for you guys. GOOD TORNADO POTENTIAL - 5-07-19

TODAY’s TARGET 5-6-19

Currently in Wichita Falls. Gonna do another forecast in Childress. Something could happen anywhere between the two targets, however KS is looking good for Sprites. Time will tell.

TODAY's OUTBREAK - Thought I could take a few days off during this "lull."  By the time I caught wind of today's tornado potential, it was too late.  This is typical for May.  You just gotta be out there day after day or you're gonna come out empty handed.

Messy hairball atmosphere today with potential for gnarly tornadoes. Weak CINH (inhibition) means junk is going to go up everywhere. Maybe we’ll get lucky and catch a discrete storm... maybe. Anticipating a Rat scramble. I’ll post iPhone pics when I can in this thread.

FUN ISOLATED STORM YESTERDAY. Got to hang out with several friends including fellow patron Mike Olbinski. Storm was weak but provided a fun little light show at sunset.

Friend and Patron Bonne from Belgium is returning to Tornado Alley in early May to chase and asked me for copies of my forecast maps so that he could do his own forecasting.  Of course! 

ATTACHED BELOW are the blank regional maps that I made for you guys to print and use as well.

Creepy Deepy Chase Saturday 4.13.19 TX/LA

Current Significant Tornado Parameters, (STPs) forecast in the 5's tomorrow by the NAM (that's high). Horrid chase conditions... High Precipitation (HP), low contrast storms with low bases cruising up to 35+ knots over towering jungle and windy roads.  Some local long time friends asked if they could ride along since it's a local chase. I said hell no.  Even with a higher percentage of significant tornadoes, the odds of being able to see one are slim unless it's on top of you.  ...

It's not often that I use someone else's music in my videos.  Christine Wu and Dan Workman, two titans in the music industry recorded some sweet jams that were never intended for release and I got my hands on them.  Dan gave me permission to give you guys this secret unreleased track that you heard on my recent tornado video.

Not expecting much today. Messy storm modes from San Antone past Texarkan. But that's what I thought the day of The Canton Texas Tornadoes in April of 2017.  Currently targeting Austin-Waco.  Should anything interesting happen, I'll post updates here.  Cheers!

Next Video... TORNADO!

This Kansas tornado was on the ground for around 90 minutes and reached EF4 status on May 25, 2016.  That evening I uploaded the Raw choice cuts and close shots to YouTube.  I still have a lot of unseen footage of this tornado early in it's life before I got crazy close.  After revisiting the footage yesterday, I think I'm going to release it as "Part 1" of this event alongside radar grabs, maps and a lot of beautiful wide shots.  You guys cool with that?

Sunday's Storm Pic / New Video Tomorrow

Here's the storm I was chasing last Sunday east of Dallas.  I set up for sprites and again didnt get any. Even without sprites, the storm time-lapse with the stars is still beautiful. You'll see this in my new video slated for upload tomorrow.  

There might be decent storms in OK Friday.  We shall see. 

TODAY - RED RIVER

Weak but pretty storm last night viewed over Bowie TX (see photo below).  Perhaps storms will have more oomph today along the Red River.  Currently split between two target areas... Either Paris TX, or my couch in Houston.   *Any updates and reports will be posted in this thread.
