Happy December, everyone!
This month I'm reading The Alice Network (you can buy it here if you'd like to read it, too) My friend in Canada recommended it and I trust her judgement! Apparently it's won a lot of awards so why not give it a shot. All I know is that it's about female spies in WW1.
When I opened the package, I was a little surprised at how big the book is... but the font seems to be pretty big and there's ...

Whenever we have a bright sunny day here in Kent, I always try to get outside. Currently Ontario is getting overwhelmed with snow, so I try extra hard to appreciate the good weather here! Even just a little walk.
Plus I find that getting fresh air and real sunlight on my face is so important over the wintertime, especially now being in lockdown (basically). Gotta keep that mental health in check!
I hope you guys are able to get outside and enjoy some good sun, too!

I'm only a few pages away from finishing November's Book Club choice - Circe (you can buy it here if you want)! I know a lot of people read it this month (or had already read it) - so, without too many spoilers, how did you guys like it? What's your rating out of 5?
When I first started Circe, I thought: "Oh honey, what have you done. This is going to be terrible." But I was so wrong!
While the first part of the...

Hi everyone!!
So Tuesdays video is all about my NEW BUSINESS! But I wanted to tell you guys first.
My partner and I have launched Edenbridge Fragrances and we've produced handmade fragrances! I know!
Right now we have two collections: Historia is all about fragrances inspired by places in Kent, and Portaits are fragrances inspired by famous people. We've spent a long time deciding on the ingredients and scents so they really connect with th...

Since my Dad died this summer, I've been collecting stories of him in my notes - there's a LOT of funny stories. One of the classics is the time I almost drowned in the Caribbean. I think I was probably like 13 at the time.
(First off, do you say Caribbean or Caribbean?)
We were on holiday down south, I think it was Cuba. Dad loved to believe that he could sail, although whether that's true or not is debatable.
We went out on a rented catamaran one afternoon when the sea was...

I love crime and murder mysteries. I also love David Lynch. I could not love Twin Peaks, no matter how hard I tried.
I ended up Googling: "Is Twin Peaks actually good?" Maybe I just didn't get it, maybe it went over my head. Turns out, Twin Peaks came out at exactly the right time in pop culture. Watching it now in 2020 doesn't really have the same effect. I couldn't even finish it, to be honest. But I gave it a shot!
Anyone love this cult classic?? I kno...

Recently I watched the new horror film His House! And while it's classified as horror, it's really not.. but it'd definitely creepy and I definitely jumped a few times... It's on Netflix right now so you might have already seen it listed on your feed.
It's not mind-blowing, but it's a solid 3.5/5! A really interested concept that I hadn't seen before, too. Plus there were some really creative ways they portrayed stuff.. that's so vague, I know.
Has anyone else wat...

I LOVED The Queen's Gambit, the new mini-series on Netflix! I binged it pretty quickly and then told my mum about who then quickly binged it herself.
I'm definitely not a chess player but I really enjoyed the show - incredible acting, great story, wonderful sets and costumes and a really all-around fabulous show!! Please watch it!!
If you've seen it - what did you think??

I went on Instagram and asked for new book ideas! My list is now so long... but we'll get through them all eventually!
My best friend back in Canada recommend Circe (you can buy it on Amazon here) I just bought my copy for this month! I don't know anything about it and haven't read the blurb on the back of the book - I'm going in blind, my favourite! It's listed as an International No. 1 Bestseller so we'll see how it goes....

I love space. I love astronauts. I love NASA. I couldn't be bothered about this show! I watched the first episode, thought: "Okay, this is fine" and never returned!
I know my mum watched it and sobbed - but she said it was way more of a drama and less of a space-show.
Did any of you guys watch it?? Is it worth it?

Guess what - I didn't finish this months book! I just, couldn't!
The Girl With All the Gifts by the same author was a wonderful surprise. I really enjoyed it and read it only in a few days this summer. The "Big Twist" was interesting and really played a big role on the whole book.
Then this month, I tried The Boy on the Bridge. While technically it is not a sequel, a lot of people recommend reading The Girl before starting in on The Boy.
But...

Recently I watched the second season of Criminal UK on Netflix! I really enjoyed it!
The whole series is made of stand-alone episodes, so you don't have to watch the whole thing to enjoy it. The acting is really good with interesting stories and crimes!
It all takes place within the interogation room, which I know not everyone will like (my mum thought it was boring) but I found it really interesting! Plus Kit Harrington stars in an episode, which they HEAVILY lea...

I mentioned before that I really enjoyed the Haunting of Hill House and I was excited about the second season - The Haunting of Bly Manor. Blah!
The season is completely unrelated to the first (so you can watch them out of order, or not at all..) but they re-use a lot of the same actors.
I just didn't really enjoy it! The story was so confusing and strange, and really didn't explain the "rules" of the universe. The acting, sets, cinematography were all...

This Spooky Month I re-watched the Haunting of Hill House and really enjoyed it - again! I thought it's a great style of spooky show that doesn't just use silly jump-scares to startle you.
A really interesting plot, great sets and acting and overall just a really great show!
I wanted to re-watch this leading up to watching the new season - the Haunting of Bly Manor (which I'm only partway through). It seems that the stories are completely separate but they r...

I watched the new film The Devil All the Time on Netflix! It's long, it can be tough to watch, but I thought it was a great film. I loved how there were so many characters and stories that all intertwined somehow - plus the acting and direction were awesome!
I would definitely recommend it if you're OK with films that are miserable and distressing! Doesn't that sound like a fun Friday night?

Good morning wonderful people! Happy Monday!
Patreon has finally allowed new currencies. Up until this point, everyone was forced to pay in US dollars (and I was paid in US dollars). No more! Adventures and Naps main currency is British Pounds, which means if you're paying from the UK it should automatically switch to your local currency.
To check which currency you are using, go to "Manage Memberships." Most UK Patreons are saying their currency ...

Like I mentioned in a previous video, my book for October is The Boy on the Bridge (you can buy it from Amazon here if you want to read along!)
I've only just started but I like it so far - nothing too incredible but an easy, fun read (so far)! One of my habits that I'm working on is to read every day so it's super helpful to have a book that's easy to pick up.
