Hope everyone is staying safe and snug at home!
Although Tuesday's video is from Florida (don't tell anyone, it's a surprise!) I am back in Ontario safe and sound. Staying inside and keeping busy!

The other night I watched Them That Follow (it's on Netflix here, not sure if UK has it?).
I hadn't heard of it before but decided to give it a shot - I thought it was really good! I was surprised that it got such a crappy review, but I thought it was well-worth a watch. Really tense and beautifully shot! And the acting was awesome!

I have a very kind friend who does my thumbnails lately - you've probably noticed that they're all colour-coded and pretty! I do not create them!!
As a joke (I hope) they sent me this. For obvious reasons, no one will ever see it (except you guys! lol)

Today I finished The Outsider by Stephen King! I really enjoyed the crime-aspect, but the supernatural element isn't really my style. But of course that's expected with a King book.
Overall it was a good read and easy to get into, just not my favourite.
A sold 3/5, I think!
You can buy it from Amazon here.
Next I think I'll try and watch the new HBO adaptation - Apparently it's quite diff...

Gotta say, they were ALL better than Dandelion and Burdock......
*Sorry it's late, I scheduled it for 10AM Est.. oops.

Lots of viewers/Patreons/subs have been asking - how are people reacting to Covid-19 in the US/Canada?
Good question!
I don't think I'm going to do a video on it as it feels a bit click-baity and I'm sure people are a bit overwhelmed hearing about it all the time.. but I figured I'd share some details with you guys if you're interested!
1. Everyone is buying toilet paper like mad. WHY? Why are you going to the bathroom so much??
2. Covid-19 has completely taken over th...

While in Florida, I went to our local cinema and saw the Invisible Man! I thought it was really good!!
It's fairly predictable but the tension and anxiety was really intense - my poor stomach by the end of it.. overall a good thriller!

I'm very grateful that my parents have had a condo in Florida since before I've been alive. I've been lucky enough to be coming to Florida nearly twice a year for my whole life!
I stopped coming here regularly near the end of high school/college/real jobs, etc since life was pretty busy. I haven't been here in a few years, I think! But this is the view from our balcony.
Yes, please.
I'm hoping to film a few videos while I'm here around UK vs USA - hope those will be interest...

The other night I went to see The Lumineers with my sister! She had tickets and was kind enough to bring me along. I haven't seen live music in forever!
I don't listen to them lots, but this is my favourite song by them. The new album is really worth a listen if you haven't heard much fo their stuff (other than the big hits that are on the radio).

This one is in the UK and it's wet! Can you guess which cathedral/minster/church this is? I went on a weekend trip here and forgot my camera, so I had to steal all the photos from my friends.

Hi Patreon!
So I started writing an e-book LAST YEAR about moving to England, some of my experiences, living abroad with anxiety, etc etc... and then I never did anything with it. I felt like it was finally time to just POST it already!
This the website I created that I'll be selling the e-book from, plus writing some articles to get the site ranking well. I wanted to keep it a little bit separated from Adventures and Naps but obviously they overlap a bit.
If you see any err...

I just finished both seasons of Succession - oh my GOD. Easily one of the best TV shows in recent years.
I wasn't totally sold on it after the first episode or so, but give it time. Incredibly well written, shot, acted, directed, everything! It's quite business-oriented so I don't imagine it will be for everyone, but WOW. Incredible show!

I don't normally read many memoirs, but this is an incredible story that I really enjoyed! Oftentimes, I couldn't put it down!
Part of the synopsis:
"Tara Westover was 17 the first time she set foot in a classroom. Born to survivalists in the mountains of Idaho, she prepared for the end of the world by stockpiling home-canned peaches and sleeping with her "head-for-the-hills bag". In the summer she stewed herbs for her mother, a midwife and healer, and in the winter she salvaged i...

This movie is exhausting and anxiety-filled. I felt tired just watching it! Great story, great colour scheme and great acting although I got annoyed with the amount of shouting/yelling.. such is life.
Certainly worth a watch!

I saw the Personal History of David Copperfield the other day - it was cute! An interesting take using actors of various ethnicities for different roles, but all of the acting was incredible.
Not a film for everyone (I think my Dad would probably fall asleep) but I thought it was a really fun, happy film! I caught myself smiling for most of it.

Started and finished this one recently - so good! Really interesting story about loneliness, family trauma and how small acts of kindness can really change things. It's a bit big but it's an easy read and was hard to put down! Written by a Scot, too!
It might be best suited for the younger female reader, but definitely check out the synopsis if you're interested!
I bought my copy from Amazon (link here) and it's only ...

Recently I watched The Farewell! Finally! I had been meaning to watch it for ages but knew it was going to be a cry-er so I wasn't in the mood yet.
What a good film!
It's not as great as I thought it might be, based on what everyone else was saying, but still a really solid watch. Plus I cried, because, obviously.I think it will resonate even more with those of us who have moved away from family.
