Patreon Vlog - Unseen video

Subscribers on Youtube wouldn't be aware, but there's a handful of videos I never post! Including this one. Filmed it about two months ago, got about halfway through editing it and decided I didn't like it. Wasn't funny enough, wasn't long enough, didn't feel like it was enough in general.

I have a handful of videos like this and thankfully it doesn't happen too often! Thought I would finish editing it and let you guys see some of the stuff that will never see Youtube.

Interesting idea...

Saw Brightburn the other day - it was fine! It was an interesting concept more than anything, but just wasn't that great. A few good jump scares but pretty cheesy... I feel like it could have been so much more!

Goedemorgen!

I've always enjoyed my visits to Amsterdam! Although certain parts of the city can be wild, I really enjoy the quiet corners tucked away like this one.

Plus, I can never get over how beautifully dressed the locals always are.

A great film!

Saw Booksmart the other night and really enjoyed it. I'm not sure everyone will like it - but it absolutely reminded me being a young girl graduating high school.

A great first film from Olivia Wilde!

80! Thank you!

We've just reached 80 Patreons - thank you so much!

I realize most people cannot be a Patreon for an extended period of time, but even joining for one month means a lot. Thank you for providing a positive and fun environment to create silly content, especially when Youtube isn't always like that.

For my gratitude, please enjoy a photo of my favourite Instagram dog: Haku.

Comedy!

You might have saw on Instagram that I saw James Acaster's new tour! A lot of people ask me who are my favourite British comedians and he's certainly on the list.

If you have a chance to see him sometime, I definitely recommend it! I really loved his Netflix special, but this new tour is all about real stories and events that happened to him - so funny and oddly so relatable.

If you haven't seen his stuff on Netflix, that's really fun, too.

Patreon Vlog - Getting eaten by bears

So annoyingly I posted this one publicly this week - oops!

Best TV of the year

What can I say - Chernobyl has been my favourite TV series of the year so far! The acting is unbelievable, the writing is incredible and I genuinely felt like I was looking at real footage.

It's definitely not a show you want to watch right before bed - some scenes are really hard to watch.

But it's been the best thing I've seen so far.

Good morning!

Toasted sourdough, scrambled eggs, smoked salmon and crispy streaky bacon - yes please!

Best Buds dinner!

This is what I made on the Best Buds Livestream this month! One of my favourites - chicken thigh tacos.

The main topping is a mixture of baby tomatoes, half of a red onion, flat-leaf parsley, chilli flakes, salt and pepper (and half of a lime juice which I almost forget!)

Get some sour cream and chive dip on the tortilla with your chicken and toppings and YUM. I personally like adding avocado but didn't have any this time... Frying up some streaky bacon and adding it to the mixtur...

Would love to have a beer with Keanu

If you like the other John Wick films, you know that you'll enjoy the new film, too. Full of hyper-violence, incredible fight scenes and pretty much no story or character development. Lots of fun to watch as long as you know what to expect.

Plus - dogs! Multiple dogs!

Wow!

Finally watched The Raid: Redemption after hearing about it for years. If you love action and insane fight sequences, you'll love it! Unfortunately you'll need to read subtitles as the film is from Indonesia, but it's way better than having to listen to weird English-dubs. The fighting choreography was unreal and I actually felt exhausted after watching it. You might recognise it as the newer Judge Dredd films ripped it off completely.

The Raid: Great film!

Final attempt

This one was lovely: mozzarella, prosciutto and rocket! Much more crispy than the meat-lovers. Yum!

Will hopefully film some pizza-making in the future!

Second attempt

This one is a bit of a mess: mozzarella, streaky bacon, chilli flakes and chorizo sausage. Really yummy, but a bit too greasy which made the dough too wet. I need my pizzas to be crispy!

Homemade pizzas!

Made some homemade pizzas this week! Annoyingly Patreon doesn't let you post a group of pictures at once, so here's the first attempt: a classic mozzarella and basil. Not bad!

Cigars and whisky, please!

Definitely not

Do you like horror, thrills, jump-scares, character development and creative plots?

This movie has none of that.

I was bored one night so decided to give this Netflix film at shot - I mean, it has Tucci, so surely it must be OK?

I was wrong. This was bad. Such a poor knock-off version of A Quiet Place.

Amen

This is a Canadian fish and chips!

Awhile back my sister and I took our mum to Ripley's Aquarium in Toronto - If you're ever visiting the city, I would definitely recommend it! There's this really cool tunnel that has a moving sidewalk that you stand on, and it takes you through sharks swimming around (and above).

Afterwards, we walked down by the lake and got some lunch. Fish and chips (and cider) is one of my favourite summer treats!

So cute I want to die

Detective Pikachu is so cute, it's unfair. The movie is a bit silly, and there's definitely plotholes, but I was smiling to myself the whole time. If you've grown up playing Pokemon, I think you'd really enjoy this one!

Plus, how awesome would it be to live among cute little Pokemon?? The wild group of Bulbasaurs killed me.

Such potential!

Without spoiling this one, let's just say... great concept, creepy scenes. But then there is a point where I actually laughed out loud near the end and it lost me completely. Oh well!

Becoming

I recently finished reading Becoming by Michelle Obama - what a lovely book! Even if you didn't agree with Barack's policies (they aren't really touched upon in the book) there's a lot to take from this autobiography.

It was fascinating to learn more about life in the White House - just like the family couldn't go outside without first running it by security. Or that a man holding a briefcase with nuclear codes had to follow Barack constantly. Or that Michelle was on track to be a...

Oh boy

Maggie Gyllenhaal is incredible in The Kindergarten Teacher - A really interesting concept with a very clear message. However, I just didn't love it at the time. However, the more and more I think about it, the more and more I really like it.

Yummmm

I actually made this on my Best Bud's monthly live stream and it's one of my favourites!

Sausage, greens, garlic, chilli flakes and a bit of oil, all fried together. Blesssss. I personally like to take the sausage out of his casing and turn it into meatballs - they get crispier that way!
