So much Welsh rain...
A few years ago, I climbed Mt. Snowdon! In about 4 hours of rain! I was woefully unprepared!

I saw Us recently - it was good! Not incredible, not the best movie I've ever seen, but a solid film. There were a lot of parts that made me genuinely uneasy or gives me creepy chills.
If you like a creepy horror/thriller, it's certainly worth the watch.

Really loved the various architecture at Hurst Castle - definitely recommend a visit if you're nearby.

Hurst Castle, in Southampton! A really interesting place with so many outbuildings to explore and lots of history!

It's been awhile since I've been to Thorpe Park, but this particular ride made me question all my life choices.

I love crime and mystery so it's no huge surprise that I loved True Detective!
I finished the most recent season (S3) recently, but everyone talked about how fantastic the first one was (they're separate stories so you don't need to watch them in order).
Finally went back and watched the first season - soooooo good. Woody Harrelsen and Matthew McConaughey are genuinely incredible. The acting was fantastic, the camera angles and shots were beautiful and I really enjoyed it!

I recently saw The Aftermath and meh, it was fine! The costumes were beyond wonderful, but the film itself was pretty slow. Still worth seeing.
I guess I was hoping for more war and less romance...

Sometimes I miss Canadian winters - hiking in the snow, the trees covered in ice, everything look pretty.
Then I remember what -30C feels like when you're trying to scrape ice off your car so you can get to work in time.
And suddenly, I don't miss Canadian winters so much.

I really enjoyed my short time in Bristol, but for some reason it felt very much like Toronto. Obviously Bristol has much more historic architecture and history, but it felt a lot like T.O. - bit trendy in places, bit modern in others. It's hard to explain!

Every time I see dogs when I have my camera or phone, I have to take a picture. Then I have to send it to my friends: "Can you imagine... three dachshunds in three different colours! THREE!"

I just finished True Detective Season 3 - anyone else watch it?? It was the first time (in a LONG time) that I watched a show live each week. I really don't miss having to wait all week for a new episode..
Without spoiling anything, I really loved the acting in this. Some of the camera shots were beautiful, the story was interesting and I genuinely enjoyed it! Definitely not perfect, but a good show.
Now I'm going back to watch the first season for the first time! Everyone always ...

I recently saw Alita: Battle Angel (and ate way too many Jelly Snakes).
It was pretty cute and I would definitely recommend it as a teen-movie. I can appreciate it for what it is and the special effects were beautiful, but I didn't really enjoy it. Paid more attention to the jelly snakes. If you've got kids - definitely check it out!

I didn't realise how large and sprawling Dover Castle really is - there's so much!
As much as I love Canada, England certainly knows how to do proper castles and coastal views.

I've been to Barcelona twice and yeah, it's OK. Not my favourite, but still has its charms (and the sun). I know locals have really struggled with tourism in Barcelona and last time I went, you could definitely feel it.

Anyone been to Chicago before? They have these glass boxes on the side of one of the skyscrapers. Just don't look down!

My parents and I went to Cleveland one summer, primarily for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame (which I sobbed at, that's another story). However, Cleveland also has the U.S.S. COD Submarine that you can absolutely go into and both my father and I had to touch everything.
Seriously though, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame was one of the best things I've ever seen. If you're in the area, make sure to go.

I recently saw Green Book and really enjoyed it! I don't want to spoil it, but I'll say that while it's fairly typical, I genuinely enjoyed it and would definitely recommend it!

At the very top of the CN Tower, you can do the tower's Edge Walk! You attach a harness to the tower then walk around the sides and lean over the edge - hands free!

My old dog Jack loved water - if he saw a puddle, he'd try to lay down in it, even if his 90lbs body wouldn't fit.
He most definitely had to be hosed down after this hike...
