World Photography Day - Feedback...

What do you think about shooting something that someone else is shooting or has set up? I kind of think it's not cool. I mean you are essentially stealing their concept and their art. So, I've included Herb in here so you can see it's his photo and now this turns into behind the scenes photos, rather than portraits or art photos. The red pants on the fence I saw on the way home when I was hunting herons. :)

P.S. Happy Thanksgiving if you're in the US! :) I'm thankful you're here no matt...

Antler Crown and Hippie Shirt

This is a plastic antler crown, but it still looks good in photos. I had to buy it when I saw it. And, this is my real-life tank top that I wore to the shoot under bibs. I try to wear regular clothes to a shoot that could also be photographed, then I have an extra outfit on me not packed in my bag. :) I was also wearing these earrings in real-life.

Always bring random props

I always bring random props to shoots. Sometimes people get on board with them. Sometimes they have their ideas pretty set. Dave Levingston is pretty open once he gets his ideas done. I like things pretty matchy. I like to match anyone any time. haha. So, I brought brand new in package blue pantyhose and pink fake flowers in my bag and we ended up using them together in this set, but just the pantyhose in the next sets. Simple sheer green robe and a tractor

I bought myself this robe a couple months ago to have something to wear for shoots that was somewhat neutral in nature but contrasted with my skin and, even though sheer, would be enough to satisfy IG and FB rules. This is the first set from a shoot in August with Lagrat Photos. (First time working with.)

Nature photo bonus post

Photo experiments from the beautiful day yesterday. I was playing with holding colored plastic discs from an Easter craft over the lens. I, personally, love the retro look and bocca blur/ lens flares it gave to the photos. All of these photos are not edited. As always, I'll be interested to see which ones you like. :)

(I am not holding a disc over the lens in the super sharp photos. They are just regular point and shoot.)

World Photography Day - Fuchsia

This model's name is beeskneeslee on Instagram. She was really a trooper and just jumped right in. I asked her to wear the oversize satiny shirt dress she arrived in because it's my favorite color and my eyes just lit up with joy when I saw her standing on the porch of the house in it. I'm pretty happy with these photos. (I'm the photographer.)

Cockatiel Dress and Derby Hat

Cockatiel Cocktail Dress I found in a thrift store and hat Atmosphoto1 made me try on, but I'm not mad about. These are just some impromptu photos. The first 3 are with his camera. The last 3 are with his phone. I find you can get pretty decent photos with a phone these days and some photographers shoot me almost entirely with a phone. I guess it just depends on their goals or visions. Do you save steps and shoot with your phone?

Sorry I didn't post yesterday. I was busy all day and couldn't get to my computer. I'm working on loading stuff up now, though, so you aren't without! :)
