A woman volunteered to model for me on 10/10. I am shooting the photos for my Patreon, as well as for practice. Anything you think I should try, wish I would try, think I'd be good at shooting, wacky ideas, etc.? I'd love to hear more about what you'd like to see posted here that features models I shoot.

Of course, I am hoping to do some self timer self portraits with her and jump into the frame. :)

This post is a little bit of everything. The first photo is me stretching. I move around a lot in shoots between shots, because I have to stand so still during the shots. It helps to keep me loose and natural in poses. All of this was Dave Rudin shooting me, but the perspective and shots of these are from Dave Levingston and what he was seeing. You can see Jenny and I play on our phones or do what we need to like eat snacks or drink water when we're not being shot. Keeps things moving. It was...

I've tried to upload videos 3 different ways and no go. I don't have a Vimeo, nor want to post these videos on Vimeo or a public website, so there's no way I can link a URL. I tried to upload them in the attachments, also a no go, because larger files. SO, thanks for following and I guess it's on to more photos!

Mirror Experimentation Studio Self Portraits

From July 2021. I can't figure out why it keeps flipping some of these upside down no matter how many times I restart this. I guess just flip your head upside down or enjoy them from a different perspective. Interesting side note. This was a green and white variegated acorn squash that I did not eat last year. It turned orange with time.

Tree Practice Warm Ups Part 2

Tree Shoot Warm-ups! Part 1

So, this shoot was entirely focused around the models becoming trees. This is Sarah (Achor) and I doing warm ups while the photographer (Timothy Bachman) also warmed himself up with his camera. I felt silly at the time, but looking back I love this shoot and get what he was saying once we did it. I use this thought process a lot when I'm posing for fine art nude now.... becoming a tree, waving like a tree, sitting like an animal or a rock, becoming something else.
