Hey y'all!
We're getting right back to it now, break's over! This month's build turned out to be so much of a doozy in fact...that a second part will be added to it in a few days to a week! It would've been nice to fit it all in to this build, but that second part needs just a bit more development time than anticipated, in order to bring it up to the best quality it can possibly be. All I can say about it for now is that it's somewhat in the spirit of April Fool's Day...
Additionally, on the backend side of things, the Charm (Green) QTEs have been adjusted to be much slower than before! They should be much easier to succeed at now, although still requiring a level of reaction speed.
Lastly, the game updated to the latest Ren'Py engine with this update! PC and Mac players should be pretty much unaffected (although please let me know on Discord if it does), but Android players may need to start fresh, due to the Android build-making process being changed a bit from what it was before. If it does prompt you to start anew, please refer to this Returning Players/Moving Saves thread on the game's itch.io page!

Hey y'all!
In this update, we go right into day 4 of Spiceport City! While a few other events occur, the big feature of this build is the addition of fishing! It functions off the same QTE system as before...but with a little twist! Hopefully, y'all will enjoy it as a fun moneymaking replacement to sparring with the clutchmates...!
Additionally, I wanna take a moment to point out that today marks the game's 5th year since its release!
KT's been in development for half a decade now since its initial release...which is WILD. I'm only able to continue doing this thanks to y'all's generosity and support, be it feedback or fanart or anything in between. I am IMMENSELY grateful, and there's no way I express it enough.
Thank you all so much for supporting this project, here's to more! Maybe some of that side stuff I mentioned last year will see the light of day this year, who knows...
Lastly, as stated last month, I'll be taking February off to rest and recharge. There probably won't be a new build next month, but if there is, it'll likely be what equates to housekeeping, at most.

This update heads right into Day 3, featuring a couple new places to explore, topics to discuss, and...things to "do."
Additionally, there's a new skip point added, you can now start a new game on the first day of Spiceport City, thanks to Wattson's codework!
Sorry this update is several hours later than usual, but it's been a VERY busy month! Lots of fun external projects both big and small lined up... To keep it brief, I'm extremely excited for next year!
Lastly, January's build will be on the 25th (for the game's anniversary) and I'll be taking the usual month off in February. Development will still be happening and there'll be stuff worth posting, but there probably won't be a surprise build like there was last year lmao

Here's the second part of the update that was scheduled for last month! Took a week longer than originally estimated but I wanted to be sure I got it right the first go-around.
Additionally, there's a part towards the beginning of the purescale banquet I altered/revised due to something in this update. I'll provide a synopsis of what changed on the discord server since it's pretty far away from the closest skip point.
This month's update will still be happening as usual, but may be on the shorter side compared to the last two put together. Next month's update should be back to normal as far as content breadth goes.

Hey y'all!

...I lied. There IS an update this month.
It's still not a regular content update, however, it DOES add a very requested feature: skip points! Thanks to Wattson's excellent coding, upon starting a new game through the "New Start" button, you'll be offered a series of sequential points in the story that you can resume your adventure from. Killigan starts off with only his default armor and personality, but you'll be able to choose a romance partner if the selected skip point is past the time when it becomes available.
New skip points will be added when appropriate, so it generally shouldn't take long to catch up if you've fallen behind or needed to restart for some reason.
...On that note, due to some file structure changes, it's likely that old android save files won't work with this version and/or you may need to reinstall the app completely. Sorry! Fortunately, this new feature should help y'all catch back up in no time.
Lastly, earlier this month, I took the time to revamp the itch page! Go check it out if you haven't already!

In this update...various things happen! That's all I'm gonna say, there's a lot going on and I don't wanna give it away before y'all jump in!
However, I do wanna take a moment to point out that this is now the game's 4th anniversary since its release!
In the past couple years KT has been in active development, I've put out more content than I originally thought I'd be capable of. I've learned a TON and had a ton of help, from y'all pledging and providing essential feedback to pointing out gamebreaking bugs. There's no way I would've been able to do this without y'all's financial support and generosity. I am immensely grateful, and I cannot express it enough.
Thank you all so much for supporting for this long, here's to more! Who knows, maybe there's even some side stuff being worked on...
Lastly, as stated last month, I'll be taking February off to recharge and plan the next breadth of content. There currently is not a build scheduled for this month, so please do not expect a new build to be posted during this timeframe!

Hey y'all!
This update picks up exactly where last month's left off, including a conversation with a Zhokhar that's suddenly appeared, as well as a few more days of travel content!
Additionally, the CG gallery (or Memories, as it's referred to in-game) has been fully implemented! Enjoy browsing through all the major moments that have happened in the game thus far!
And lastly, due to a oversight, the maximum amount of rations you could leave Aris with was 5. This has changed to become limitless, only being bound by how many you can buy before you're out of ouros. There will be an opportunity in one of the next updates to get more rations, to help address this. Also, please be aware that you can forage on the travel hub screen during most nights, allowing you to both refill your canteen and make a foragemeal for the night!

Hey y'all!
This build contains the first steps into the Crystal Plains for Killigan and his companions, with several (shorter) days of content! It's time to get back into the swing of travelling, with lifelong friends as company and new encounters to discover!
The only thing not in this update is the gallery feature (again), we were both too busy to commit enough time to it this month. Next month shouldn't introduce multiple new systems at once however, so it'll likely be ready for v.0.23.

HOTFIX: Fixed several asset-related bugs as well as an issue with Killigan deciding to eat too much food at once.
HOTFIX 2: Fixed additional bugs introduced in the latest content, as well as issues with certain QTEs being too difficult on mobile.
HOTFIX 3: Further improved QTE balancing on all platforms: drastically reducing the amount of presses needed for the mashing QTE, and increasing the likelihood of succeeding at an event when QTEs are turned off (50+% -> 66+%).

Hey y'all!
This month's update finally implements the backend overhaul, the culmination of what Wattson and I have been working on to drastically improve the game's features and systems, while squashing out lingering issues and bugs. There is also a small amount of content added, Aris Day 12, but as stated last month, it's much smaller than a typical update is. Most of the work this month has gone into improving several aspects of the game, which involved lots of new assets and elaborate coding.
In fact, this time I'm going to take a backseat and let Wattson tell y'all what exactly is in this update!
Hey guys, it's Wattson here. I know Eddio usually writes these things, but I wanted to give a bit of an overview of the changes. You're all likely aware that in terms of content, this update is going to be a bit smaller than usual. Despite this however, it is likely one of the most important updates to the game since the relaunch of the project back in 2019. For it is finally time for the backend revamp. This has been something Eddio and I have been working on since February and we hope you enjoy the changes that we've made. I will not be spoiling too many, but there are some changes I feel people would like to be aware of.
First, I would like to caution everyone to not save over their old saves. While I have done everything in my power to ensure this update is as seamless as possible, there's always the possibility I forgot something. And I'll likely hear about it immediately in the bug reports and will get a hotfix patch ready as soon as I can in the event one is needed. So keep those old saves around just in case.
Furthermore, I'd like to caution that saves immediately after fights may be broken. A lot of the script was changed to accomodate the new backend, and while I've done my best to ensure compatibility, there's just some areas I couldn't ensure will work seamlessly.
🔴 Saves immediately after fights might crash due to not having new variables.
🔴 Saves in the bathhouse will likely load with Killigan clothed. After the scene though things should be back to normal.
That aside here's some of the improvements and changes you all can look forward to.
🔵 Codex entries are now based on your save file instead of being persistent. This is to allow for some flexibility with things in the future.
🔵 The codex will also now let you know when an entry is new or updated. When you first load in, all of them will likely be marked new for now. But just click through them and should clear that up.
🔵 QTEs have seen an overhaul. Anyone who has played the QTE Playtest is likely aware of the changes. Feel free to let us know of any balance changes you'd like for them.
🔵 The equipment screen now uses drag and drop to equip things instead of just buttons.
🔵 The sell screen has been entirely redone to use drag and drop as well. No more having to go through the menu 3 times to sell all of Macsen's scrolls.
🔵 There's new discord integration. While playing, your discord will display how long you've been playing and where you're at in the game. Even has a couple unique banners it can display. You can choose to turn this off in the options screen.
There's definitely more to look forward to, but I'll leave that for people to find themselves. Be sure to check everything!
Finally, I'd like to end off by saying what an honor it's been to work on this. KT was a VN that got me really excited to work on visual novels and made me realize there's a lot more Ren'py can do than I first thought. While the meat of this update was to clean up the internals of the game so that it'd be easier for Eddio to maintain into the future, none of this would've happened without the hard work Eddio put into getting the tiny details right. It's been an honor working with him and I can only dream the work I've done these last several months can live up to what he's made so far. I can't promise there won't be any more bugs, but I sincerely hope you all enjoy this and what's to come. This project wouldn't be what it is without ya'll support. So thank you all* from the bottom of my heart.

HOTFIX: Fixed an issue where a character in one of the new screens wasn't working properly, and fixed some morning wood that was too powerful.
Please note! You may need to start from midway through last month's content (during a certain conversation with Mac) or earlier, most players are having trouble loading up saves made after that point.
Also, something I forgot to mention: The CONTINUE button on the main menu screen has been moved to the top and will now load up from your most recent save/autosave, sending you straight into where you left off. For the old function of picking from a save to load from, there's now a LOAD SAVE button that'll do exactly that.
HOTFIX 2: Fixed multiple issues, including an issue where brawn QTEs did not function properly on mobile and a rare case where some character were popping up where they shouldn't.
Additionally, this hotfix also disables the CONTINUE button on the main menu until after you load into a save file (or start up a new game if you really want). This is to signal to incoming players that LOAD SAVE is now the old CONTINUE button, and the new CONTINUE button will pick up directly from where you left off.

Hey y'all!
Here's the regular update for this month, it's a little shorter than usual but it's still an important one! It wraps up Day 11 and offers...maybe some sort of moment with Mac?
Additionally, I've changed a couple of the clutchmates voices (they were rushed placeholders anyway) and added a few minor dialogue changes, since there was apparently some confusion as to their relation to each other. As Matagoffe's stated several times now, the clutchmates have zero relation to each other, they're much more akin to a group of companions or roommates than anything blood-related. I wouldn't be caught dead writing or illustrating smut between brothers lmao
Lastly, next month's update will finally implement the backend overhaul! Content-wise, it'll be even shorter than this one, but I want to be sure there's ample time to get everything sorted and working correctly. Working with Wattson has been fantastic over the past 6 or so months and I'm very excited to get the game running on the code that he's built specifically for it!

This build caps off the banquet with the ensuing dinner and an extended conversation with the Archcenaire! ...That's pretty much all there is to say!
As far as scheduling, this month's regular update will still be happening, although it'll be a bit shorter than originally intended and won't include the backend implementation. Next month's update will be even shorter and WILL include the backend implementation, to allow for ample time to make sure everything lines up right (and because I'll need to rest a bit lmao).

This build adds the lead-in and first part of the banquet, finally giving us a proper look inside the purescale side of the city! Overall, this build turned out shorter than I planned due to the second part of the banquet not being of a quality I was satisfied with. So, there'll be a v.0.19.1 build roughly a week or so into August that adds the second part of the banquet! It'll cover a pretty important extended conversation, so I want to take the extra time to get it right and not rush it.
Additionally, it's looking like the backend overhaul will be implemented with v.0.20! To make sure everything's up to snuff, ALL patrons will have access to the overhaul playtest! To recap one last time:
Wattson has put together a QTE playtest built upon his code, and we're looking to find the sweet spot of difficulty with both the QTEs currently implemented and a few variations, introduced in this playtest. If you have the time, we'd greatly appreciate y'all trying it out and giving us feedback!

A bit unorthodox, but this is a MUCH smaller update than the one coming later this month, and it solely covers a full revision for the large conversation that takes place immediately after what happens at the Arcane Academy's graduation. New saves shouldn't be necessary, and it shouldn't affect saves from v.0.17's content. Revision Summary:
- Begins the same as the old conversation, up until Komoli appears
- She still threatens to have Killigan and Binini locked up, but before she can act on it, Guster shows up, and he's visibly furious
- He questions her sanity at putting mages at risk of dangerous experiments, and questions why she wants to imprison a bovolian, of all things
- She tells him he's Sierra's son, which shocks him
- Killigan asks who he even is, he tells him that he's the hydronetics Headwizard, from an academy down south (apparently there are other magic academies in Canavar)
- Guster asks how Sierra's doing these days, but before anyone can answer, Mac proposes the idea of using the abomination as an experimentation subject instead of Killigan
- While it's a good idea, Guster tells that discussions with the other Headwizards will be needed before any more experimentations continue at this academy.
- Komoli and Guster argue, until it becomes clear that someone needs to oversee the conclusion of these horrid experiments while Komoli will be unavailable.
- Cue Binini.
- While Komoli vehemently rejects the idea of Binini overseeing her experiments, Guster is intrigued and entertains the idea, even stating that he'd be a suitable candidate.
- Now the remaining matter is to subdue the abomination before it causes any more harm, but before they can leave, Mac interjects again, asking if he did well enough to graduate
- This plays out roughly the same as it did before, although Guster practically humiliates Komoli by telling the group recollections of her own struggles as a mage.
- Mac graduates and earns his license to practice arcanics magic, as well as hydronetics magic.
- With that settled, Guster, Binini, and Komoli leave to go subdue the abomination, but under her breath, she second-guesses herself, seemingly asking Sierra if what she did was wrong.
- CHANGED - There are no other Headwizards at the Arcane Academy, only Komoli
- CHANGED - Guster is nowhere near as forgiving of Komoli as he was before, now heavily criticizing her
- CHANGED - Komoli does not see the error of her ways (yet) and Killigan has not forgiven her
- ADDED - A few additional expressions for Guster

Hey y'all!
This month's update is on the short side, I've been stretched pretty thin this month due to some irl mishaps. However, if you're pursuing a relationship with Mac, you may be in for a treat! Next month should be back to a regularly-sized content update.
Additionally, for those in the Radiant and Beacon tiers: Wattson has put together a QTE playtest built upon his code from the backend overhaul, available to you guys! We're looking to find the sweet spot of difficulty with both the QTEs currently implemented and a few variations, introduced in this playtest. If you have the time, we'd greatly appreciate y'all trying it out and giving us feedback! The link to the playtest is available in the discord, in the brothel channel!

HOTFIX: Fixed an issue that occurred when playing the first part of Day 7 on SFW mode.

Hey y'all!
The end of Day 9 left a lot of unanswered questions, and this build follws up on that! Additionally, a certain yellow skrilzi faces his toughest trial yet...
Also, the backend overhaul is not present in this update! It's still actively being worked on and should see implementation very soon, with save file preservation as a priority.
