In the game so far, you may have been making choices to allow Eleanor to get physical with Rose and Lucy. If you have, then in the next release you can see them having fun all together. Progress report

Hey people,

Time for a progress report on V 0.7.  I just passed 250 new images! And I have 30 more in draft form; often I draft an image and sit on it for a week or two while I decide how I want to tweak it before a final render. As far as the story goes, the main plot is all set and a large part of it is written, although I still have some flexibility and a lot of writing to do on the many sub-paths.

Bug feedback?

Hey Patrons,

I'm grateful when you find bugs and tell me, and one has been reported - on the Saturday morning of week 6 it is possible to miss an image with the MC and Ellie talking. You will see an "uncaught exception" message instead of the actual image. I can fix this, but before I do this and reissue have any of you found other bugs?

V 0.6 - getting close!

Hi people,

Time to lift up my head from the computer and give you a progress report.  Good news, the new version is all loaded into Ren’py now and I am playing through it to look for bugs and give it a final polish. This means at least six full playthroughs to cover all the main pathways, and a lot of side trips for subpaths.  Also making new images where they are needed.  And fixing my totally dodgy use of subroutines called from multiple points in the story! V 0.6 Progress

Good news guys; I’ve started loading V 0.6 into Ren’py. First I do the thirty-five new animations.  I paste them into a separate file so I can tweak their coding, then I copy them into the main game file. They’re all pretty small, but they still benefit from optimisation of timing and delays.

Poll - Preferred scenes for Ellie

Hey people,

There are lots of combinations for scenes in the game where Eleanor gets personal with other girls. I got to wondering which scenes you prefer.  Eleanor can be physical with Rose and Lucy in particular, and I've set up a poll for the alternatives below.

Making progress!

Hey people,

How’s it going out in the real world?  I’ve had my head down in Keymasterland and I thought I better pause for a moment and give you a progress report.

Well, as you can see, Rose brings Calian to Earth this release, for some R&R and to try the pizzas.  Lots of other stuff happening too, as all the threads in the story go forward.

Quick update for you. The latest version (0.5) is all loaded. Major debug is done and the game is running nicely!  Now I’m playing through the various paths to check for continuity, missing images, extra images needed, wrong dialogue etc. I just finished the Mallory path and I’ve reopened the game to play the Lucy path, with some other parameters changed as well. Progress report time, and the good news is I’ve finished the text and images for the next release and I’m well underway at setting it up in Ren’py.  It’s getting close!

For this release I have around 7,000 lines of code and text to format, review and match to more than 700 new images. I do housekeeping and final changes as I go, and make extra images if they are needed. A lot of work, but I expect to start releasing V 0.5 later this month.  Patrons ge...

Good news, I have just finished the draft images for the final scene needed in V 0.5! There will be around 700 new images in total for this release.  Now I enter the period where I recheck text and code then load it into Ren’Py, including addition of more than 10,000 “ “ symbols! At the same time I will render better quality versions of the remaining 40 or so images, and probably develop a few more as I review how well the text and images fit together.

Making progress on V 0.5

Hey people,

Just passed 600 new renders for V 0.5. It’s coming along well! Text and coding are progressing too; I’m past 80% complete on all three aspects of this release.

I have just been adding a couple of new scenes to the path that maximises the travelling done by the MC. With a total of 11 ladies now that a player can “interact” with, I need to be careful that each path is balanced in terms of possible scenes.  Something else I need to do soon is make sure I have...

One patron, Skeeve, has been talking to me about Eleanor and Rose doing stuff together. Well, I’ve just been working on a scene for them, where Rose convinces Ellie to teach her how to cook.

I’m making progress with the next release of The Keymaster.  I have completed more than 300 new images, and more than 50% of the text.  I’m trying to keep this release smaller and less complex than V0.4 to get it you sooner (and help preserve my organisational sanity!).
