I wanted to keep the main light at a top angle from behind the subject to show that more than the main light, it's the reflecting light bouncing from the floor which is lighting up the subject. It's hard to bring out the exact same image that you have in mind. But this turned out to be one of those times when I got it right. But do let me know what you think. :)

It's not my strong suite though. Even in games, when stealth is optional, I go guns (or swords) blazing.  Won't do stealth unless or untill it's the only way.

I changed the face. I tried to do a different kind of face this time, but it just wasn't working out between us (me and sketch). 

I'm sorry if you had liked the previous one but, the more I tried to shade the sad expression that I had drawn, the more it was making me sad from inside out. I thought my perception might change if I shaded the body first, but that just made me even more sure that I should change it.

I made a huge mistake. 

As I was duplicating and merging layers to create various variations of the painting, I forgot to duplicate the layers while creating the last version. As a result I ended up merging all the original layers and without noticing this, I saved the file and closed photoshop. When I reopened the original file PSD file to create the customizable layers, it was too late.

I remember when I tried horse riding. I was told by the guy controling the horse to hold on to the reins so I can control the horse. But it was just a gimmic. The real control was still will the guy. It's a similar feeling when in this position. You might think the guy is in control, but there is always a posibility that the control is just an illusion.

It's was a nightmare. It's as excruciating as coding. One out of place key frame can mess up the entire flow. It's even more painful to locate that key frame and fix it. This was happening through out the workflow. Not to mention render times and rendering again and again because some mistake were found post rendering. 

I mentioned this in my previous animation, that I'm truly not happy with what I had done. To me it just looked like some parts of a picture moving up and down. But ...

I decided to change the face in between the colouring phase. The longer I stared at it, the more I felt the face wasn't good enough so I had to rework the whole thing by going back to the original sketch and altering it.

On a serious note, all I can say is I need more practice. But I'm sure I have a pretty good idea now on how to do wet and slimy textures.
