Development Update - November 12, 2022

Happy Saturday everyone! I thought it was time to touch base with you all on how the new release is coming. I won't lie...I'm a bit further behind than I had hoped. As my quality expectations have gone up, so has the time it takes to create some of the art, such as the animations. This has made a few of the scenes I've been working on take longer than expected. The trade off, of course, is better quality.

Development Update October 20, 2022

I spent a good amount of time going through the entire game and ironing out a lot of issues that were only getting worse with each new release. Interim Release - V.0.84

Hey everyone,

As promised, here is V.0.84, which is a major bug-fix release. There is no new content other than a few updated images (such as making Patrick "scruffy" when he returns to Stacy's apartment), but for those who have had problems before, my hope is that this version fixes most of them.

Development Update Sept 10 2022

Hope you all had a great summer! I know it's been a bit since I posted and update and I'm sorry for that. I've been traveling a bit but I'm back now and getting back into the thick of things. My first step on the next release is to go back and fix some common issues with the game. A number of bugs have been pointed out to me (and some I found on my own) in earlier parts of the game. The Office Wife V.0.83 Public Release

Finally! Here's V.0.83 Public Release! This one's been a long time coming and has a ton of new content and changes.

On top of the many scenes (a mostly-complete list can be found in the walkthrough), I made a number of bug fixes, changed the dialogue system, and updated the map for Stacy's apartment to better reflect the actual layout. Not counting the new character images, there are nearly 500 new renders and 39 new animations. Believe it not, this is only one part of the current story...

Quick Update

Hello, I know you were all eagerly anticipating the next release to come out tomorrow. Unfortunately, due to a few last-minute snags, I'm going to have to push it out to Saturday, July 23, 2022. I hate doing this...I know it has been so long and it was already delayed once, but it is better to delay the release than to release a non-working version. I appreciate everyone's patience.

Development Update July 11, 2022

Well, we're coming down to it on the new release, however...I have some bad news. My graphics card finally had enough, apparently, and decided to wither and die on me. I've never had to delay a release before, but unfortunately, I'm going to have to push back the release date by a week on this one so I can get a replacement in place and the final renders complete. So, I'm aiming to have the new release out to $5 patrons on July 20, 2022, barring no further problems.

I hope everyone's having a good weekend. I'm on track so far for the next release. I have one more big scene to finish, which involves Jason meeting Doug Harper for dinner about a job opportunity. I've been hard at work plugging along on the new release. Like I mentioned before, it is going to be a big one with a lot of new scenes as well as some more fundamental changes (such as improving the hint system and text box system). Development Update - May 5, 2022

Here's a peek at the new design for Stacy's apartment. I've long wanted to redo it to match the actual 3d model I use for the renders. I think it turned out pretty well. The big change is that the door is now at the top of the screen instead of the bottom. This was the big disconnect between the original map and the model. The door was always by the kitchen. I've been hard at work on the next release. This is going to be a bigger one so it is taking longer than I expected, which I guess is sort of par for the course. The good news is that I really do now have most of the rest of the game outlined so there is clear path forward and I don't anticipate any major detours. Weekend Update March 27, 2022
