Ideation- Figuring out the form and the mood each one gives and how it serves the needs of the commissioner which we talked out beforehand.

A painted smoochagram for Leuphe and Chapu! Two people I'm lucky to call friends! They wanted a picture of themselves all big and monstrous but also dad-like, and also loving! The first of these studies! I think I was happiest with the shapes and textures in this! Looking back at it, I think using a multiply layer for the shading values might be the easiest way to get across shadow shapes in the fewest brush strokes, however this will sacrifice the colors.
Qualities of multiply:
+ Better shapes
+ Fewer brushstrokes
- Worse colors
-- Learn less about brush placement
