BOAT LIFE: We Ran Out Of Water..

Ever gone to fix something and it results into a bigger problem? Well that's where we're at with the water maker but in the middle of nowhere so we're on the search for getting it fixed and sourcing some more water in the meantime.

We catch up with OJ who taught himself how to make spearguns on YouTube. Pretty impressive. There should be no excuses on lack of seafood on the menu on La Vagabonde.

Lobster For Dinner! (#303)

Join us for a sail to Green Island. I'm not sure Lenny loved the journey but he was loving the destination. It was soo good to be back amongst lobster again. Now we just need to learn French so we can understand the water maker manual and with the outboard motor requiring maintenance, we're training to become olympic rowing partners.

A Family of Bangs!

We're back in our groove in the Carribbean. Riley has been loving life so much he keeps forgetting to take the camera! We have had a mask with a gopro attachment sent to us but it was re-packaged at least 4-5 times.. Getting gear sent is one of Riley's pet hates. There are heaps of pros in sailing to the party. You can arrive when you want (allowing 6hr travel time), and you can bring your house with you. Swimsuit photoshoot for VBS and Our Baby Gender Reveal

We had a heap of fun with the photo shoot. The girls were amazing to work with and even Jack and Lenny chipped in. It's thanks to you all that I was able to get this off the ground. This project has been super challenging but it's also been so rewarding and I hope we can build it into something that continues for many years into the future. Reunited After 16 Days Apart

Join us for our final leg of the Atlantic Crossing where the crew have sailed from the Canary Islands to Antigua.

It was great to be reunited after 18 days of being apart It's great to be back in sunshine, clear warm water and a plethora of fish.

We hope you enjoyed this 4 part series of crossing the Atlantic once again.  (it could be a long time before it happens again)

AN EMOTIONAL CROSSING

When you spend so much time together in such close quarters, you really notice when they're missing. Riley wasn't feeling himself during the last few months of Europe so it was great that he could relax with all the help on board. It certainly means less worrying for me when I can't be there. I'm sure he was missing my bread baking skills on this trip - haha!

Atlantic Crossing (Part 1)

It was sad goodbyes as Lenny and I flew out of the Canary islands whilst Riley, Jack and Andre do their final preparations for the Atlantic crossing. Sofia invited me to spend some time with her family in the french alps before I flew to Antigua to wait for La Vagabonde to arrive.

It's our baby boys 2nd birthday!!! I'm pretty sure these first two birthdays are more like parent milestones but Lenny is catching on to what they're about. First a truck, now a bike, we hope we're not influencing him away from the water. We might need to put some more thought into his next birthday - haha!

ONE WEEK to Prepare for 16 Days at Sea (Atlantic Crossing)

Join us as we sail down from Madeira to Tenerife. Jack and Andre join us on board to prepare for the Atlantic crossing back to the warm weather, clear water and fish galore. Finding a REFUGEE BOAT at sea 😢 so sad.

What a crazy week! This is not one of our normal videos and not what we expected we'd be doing when we arrived exhausted into port after a big sail. It was the best of times, it was the worst of times.. (#289)

Join us for an up and down few days. The ups of exploring places like Porto Santo in the beautiful sun and the downs of some difficult sailing whilst pregnant, feeling seasick, homesick and stuck on board with a screaming toddler - haha! It's funny now but oh my goodness, I don't know how I survived that trip. The ups definitely outweigh the downs but nevertheless, this is full disclosure of the nomadic life.
