We are so excited to announce some new partners who will be helping us build our new boat.
These are two leaders in their fields so we were over the moon to hear they were on board with what we were wanting to achieve.
This was a massive win for us and we couldn't have got this far without you so thank you once again for being incredible support for our channel. We REALLY appreciate it. Grab a celebratory drink of your choice today and we can do a virtual 'cheers' / 'salud'.

Join us on board La Vagabonde as we prepare for our visit to the next island. Due to current restrictions, we are required to get permission to move between islands. We received some great advice from one of the locals here and Riley's now got his spearfishing license so we're ready to start refilling these empty freezers *fingers crossed*.
We're heading for a sail today but keep an eye out for a post for our next live stream date/time. We have some exciting news about some businesses w...

It's one of those things where you don't learn if you don't try it yourself. They were fairly minor jobs in the scheme of things but we did learn a lot. Have you tried to learn a new skill during the times of Covid-19? Feel free to leave us some constructive feedback in the comments.
A great reward was to visit Islet of Vila Franca do Campo. A beautiful place but there was some surprises when we arrived. We didn't realise that you needed to purchase a ticket as the numbers to the ...

Birthday celebrations are just too good to only limit to one day. Whilst Riley was off sailing on a neighbours trimaran, Brianna and I were having a fancy birthday breakfast with some interesting Chinese wine. It didn't all run smoothly from there, we hired quad bikes which didn't turn out so well. This is a great example why you don't limit your birthday to just one day - haha! Things got better as we explored this great island including a very cool tour of a Tea Factory. 2020-09-25 00:22:57 +0000 UTC

Hey guys!
Hope you're having a great week so far. When we often speak about great sailing destinations, the Azores never really entered the conversation........... until now. We are absolutely loving it! It really is a cinematographers dream.
Sorry about the delay on the videos lately. When we arrived to the Azores, we made a commitment to really make the most of where we are. Riley has had some back issues but with a few visits with the experts, we might just have it under ...

Sorry about the delay on this one folks! We kept making changes right up until we published it a few minutes ago. Maybe that brain swab has slowed us down? haha! We love getting the episode out to you early so we'll make sure we get back on track. We've been busy exploring the Azores which hasn't let us down so there's lots to look forward to.
Do let us know what you think about this new business idea, does it have legs or is it ridiculous?
Also, a fan sent in to us this puzzle. <...

What happens is we have selected a song, probably from a lesser known artist, who has agreed for us to use the song but has failed to clear our use to YouTube. The song is then claimed by a large corporate entity who sticks 5 adds on the video and collects any add revenue of which the artist will receive almost nothing. It makes us want to use a large online royalty free music subscription website but ultimately we like to select lesser known music from bands who really appreciate the exposur...

I've never been this sick before. The Azores better be worth it! It's pretty rough when you have some bad seasickness which you can't escape. I would not wish this upon my worst enemy. Lenny and Riley seem to have it under control at the helm. Riley gives a lesson on the weather and highlights the mistakes he's made to learn from for next time. Sam, our animator and fan we met at a USA boat show gives another stellar cameo performance in this one. Hope you enjoyed it.
Thanks for support...

Here's our departure of Lisbon - destination Azores.... take two!
After some fine tuning and even a visit from the water police, we can leave with full confidence in the journey ahead. Lenny is already super keen to fill the captains shoes..... literally - haha!
Underwater seamount. Have you heard of them? We have learnt more about them since experiencing the effects of it on board La Vaga causing some unexpected seasickness. We were very excited about our little animation. Let us...

Join us for an unexpected day on board La Vagabonde. We were super excited to set sail for the Azores, our first ocean crossing for the year only to discover problems with our steering and our main sail. We spent most of the day trying to get it all sorted until we came to the decision to delay our departure. Our sailing adventure will have to wait another day.
Thanks to everyone who tuned in to our live stream this week. Apologies for the connection issues. Hopefully we can improve on ...

Yes we're back, we've hit the big refresh button and great to have the gang back together. A big thanks to those of you who shared with us your stories and thoughts with us since the last episode. It means so much that we're able to share some more sides to our story (and the tricky bits) and be received so warmly.
Righto, on with it. We're heading west again, back to the wonderful Lagos, as far west as we can go before we head back out into the Atlantic. We're welding, we'...

Life in close quarters can be full on when you're carting your family around on a boat together, so we're spending a bit of time apart as we head back westwards along southern Portugal. We want to take the varnish off and speak our mind about some issues that we think are important, and give you guys a sense of some aspects of our lives away from the camera.
You're most likely to pick up the camera when you have high energy and less likely when you're sad or annoyed. After s...

Beautiful Portugal continues to deliver, exploring Alcoutim and the Guadiana, a place with a rich history and a totally tranquil atmosphere. We welcome back some friends to La Vaga and we're making the most of it. We go full-engineer mode on-board in preparation for our future westwards journeys and attempt the impossible task of proofing the boat for an increasingly mobile and active Lenny. We have no idea where he picks up his adventurous streak from -- any guesses?
Thanks...

Get this: water, right, but without salt in it. Weird right? Yeah and like, no massive waves, you can wash in it. I think they call it a 'river'. That and the beautiful countryside of Portugal, no wonder people never want to leave the Guadiana. We might struggle too. Check out the beautiful little village of Alcoutim for our little adventure, exploring little creeks, saving little birds and an update on how little Lenny's faring. Come spend a little time with us down by the river....

With every space launch, even millions of hours of scientific and technical analysis and engineering may not prevent disaster. We're taking La Vaga headfirst to a unique problem for us: a low bridge and a tall mast, armed with a drone, some blog info and a full moon. Join us for a quick sail from Fuseta to Tavira to catch up with our German friend Jan. It's interesting to see the changes in history throughout the world due to unsustainable fishing practices. It's a good reminder to ensure the fish we eat comes from sustainable methods.

We continue our journey through the beautiful south of Portugal, heading on to Fuseta's stretching sandbars and inlets hidden on the maps. We swap to a houseboat with Ricardo and his DIY dock, and Lenny meets his first octopus 🐙. Join us for a very chilled lunch at the beach cooking up some fresh fish on the fire. Who needs toys when Lenny has a bucket and is surrounded by sand? For anyone who has had kids, how good is that moment when there is that unexpected moment of peace - haha! I think he may have also mistaken our drone for a pet. With our average age expectancy on drones (before they end up on the bottom of the ocean) hopefully he doesn't get too attached...... We also show you a bit more insight into an...

Congratulations to Holly Foster! She was the first to send through all 10 correct answers. We noticed a few had trouble with the name of our first tender/dinghy (Cunningham). The two words on the side of a small boat on the shore in the original intro was Carpe Diem. This was slightly tricky as the first handful of episodes featured the stern of La Vagabonde. The number of times crossing the Atlantic caught a few out too. We've crossed it twice coming from Europe (once in the monohull, once i...
