There are many rumors about the Royal Rumble, including some major ones that emerged this week.

Per Sports Illustrated, there was word that Gunther was to win the WWE Royal Rumble, and claimed that he was slated to unseat Seth Rollins for the world title at WrestleMania. Sami Callihan has made some appearances in Major League Wrestling, but he’s still a free agent.

Callihan’s deal with IMPACT/TNA Wrestling expired at the end of October, and he’s made several appearances outside of the company since then. Kamille remains a top free agent in pro wrestling, but perhaps not for long.

Fightful was able to confirm reports from PWInsider and Haus of Wrestling that WWE had interest in the former NWA Women’s World Champion. Three free agents at tonight's TNA tapings

TNA Wrestling has been active on the free agent market over the last few weeks, and a few interesting names are backstage at their tapings in Orlando Friday night.

Fightful Select has learned that Mace & Mansoor, the former Maximum Male Models are backstage at the show. The two were released by WWE in September and are now free agents. In addition, NJPW regular Alex Zayne is backstage at the show.

We've not been told that the three are planned for the show or tapings as of yet...

Seth Rollins sustains torn MCL, partially torn meniscus

Seth Rollins sustained an injury at WWE Raw on January 15, and there’s good and bad news.

Fightful Select learned that as of Monday Night, Rollins told people backstage that he didn’t think he’d sustained an ACL tear. One WWE higher up we spoke to said “considering he’s powerbombed a 300 pound man on a torn ACL, we think he understands what that might feel like.”

More On Possible Changes To Butch

There were some hints of a change to the presentation of Butch on WWE Smackdown.

During a pre-produced vignette on Smackdown, Butch was accompanied by Tyler Bate. During the segment, Butch said that the Brawling Brutes were a thing of the past, and Bate said he had to make a name for himself. Fightful has confirmed that a change back to Pete Dunne has long been discussed, with one source in WWE telling Corey Brennan “it’s exactly what it looks like.”

R-Truth has reached new heights in popularity with Judgment Day, but almost saw his career ended.
