WWE sources optimistic CM Punk vs. Stone Cold could happen

A major dream match could be happening if all goes well.

Fightful Select hast learned that upon CM Punk’s return to WWE this past Saturday, there were several in the company pushing for the possibility of CM Punk to take on Stone Cold Steve Austin. So much so, that we’re told that Punk had even had discussions about the possibility.

QT Marshall already has interest from outside companies

QT Marshall is set to leave AEW on January 1, but already has interest from outside companies.

Fightful spoke with MLW sources that immediately indicated interest in Marshall, saying that they were surprised he was hitting the open market. We’re told that Major League Wrestling is planning to communicate with Marshall, and wants him to work both in and out of the ring.

- Regarding QT Marshall -- we can confirm that the report from WrestlePurists about CM Punk not wanting him on AEW Collision is true. Marshall was actually scheduled to primarily be involved with Collision on and off-screen, and Punk had nixed it. Regarding the NJPW-related direction news that emerged, we're told that's not why Marshall resigned from the company, but had cited that as something he didn't agree with. A long-running piece of WWE content will not be continuing.

Fightful has confirmed that After The Bell with Corey Graves and Kevin Patrick is ending.

After the Bell actually just reached its 200th episode earlier in November, with guest John Cena. They had one episode that followed on November 10, and there have been no new episodes since. We've confirmed that the show has wrapped as of now.

The big thing that everybody's waiting for hasn't happened yet as I type this, so the jury's still out on CM Punk's return to Raw. About all we know is that Seth Rollins called him "a hypocrite" which is a bit like calling Michael Jordan "a basketball player."

MJF has legitimate injury

MJF just tweeted and deleted details regarding an injury he sustained, that we've been told is legitimate.

MJF tweeted that he has a torn labrum after getting an MRI. While we can't confirm ourselves that he got an MRI, he had told people at AEW last week that he'd believed he'd torn his shoulder.

He's still expected to compete at AEW World's End. He will be undergoing treatment and hoping to avoid surgery.

Katsuyori Shibata will be taking some time away from ROH.

Katsuyori Shibata dropped the ROH Pure Championship to Wheeler Yuta on the November 25 episode of AEW Rampage. The title change came after Yuta confronted Shibata on the November 25 episode of AEW Rampage. The loss to Yuta will set up Shibata to take some time away. Per AEW officials, Shibata has to return to Japan for an extended period as soon as possible, and he could not wait until ROH Final Battle to leave.

WWE Survivor Series is nearly underway and there's an interesting name backstage.

Fightful has learned that Stephanie McMahon is in Chicago at the show. She's said to be hanging out and visiting, as opposed to being there in a work capacity.

Stephanie McMahon stepped down from her role in. WWE in January. We've not heard of her being around much outside of Wrestlemania weekend.

Brogan Finlay isn’t the only recently signed WWE talent at the WWE Performance Center last week.

Finlay recently had a WWE tryout, and as BodySlam reported and Fightful Select confirmed that he’d been signed. PWInsider reported last Tuesday that Finlay was at the WWE Performance Center.
