QT Marshall already has interest from outside companies

Fightful spoke with MLW sources that immediately indicated interest in Marshall, saying that they were surprised he was hitting the open market. We’re told that Major League Wrestling is planning to communicate with Marshall, and wants him to work both in and out of the ring.
We’re told MLW is in the process of revamping their front office, including some roles that Marshall had worked in during AEW. MLW considers Marshall a jack of all trades in and out of the ring.
Marshall also has several pushing for him within WWE for a variety of roles, which is to be expected.

It sounded like the pivot away from the more "sports entertainment" style back to an early AEW/NJPW style of programming was at least part of the reason.
