My Birthday is Sept 30th

I don't think I've ever talked about my birthday before. I've never been big about it, and I feel like I already over-share online anyway, but this last year was the loneliest of my life. It was for a lot of people, but it hit me especially hard this last year, and I don't think I'm every going to be 'myself' ever again.

God fucking damn it I'm feeling nostalgic for Diablo 2. Hello everyone. I think that I'm going to be working on 'Bel and the Dakinis' for a while because it's becoming a vehicle for some of my personal shit. I think I'm going to be working on it all month. I need money, though. Money for rent, bills, food, and such. Normally I do big $100 commissions, but I just can't handle the stress of them while working on something big, so I'm experimenting with a new idea this month. $35 dollar commissions.

I felt pretty good about that Lois Lane vs Harley Quinn comic I made. Not about the reviews (those were pretty lukewarm), but I felt good about actually forcing myself to finish something. A simple 4-5 page comic, that's all it needed to be. I'm trying that again right now. It's a short comic about Bel and Eros (a wandering mage and the fertility goddess who possessed him) visiting a monastery for some rest and relaxation . . . Only it is populated by Dakinis.

One of the few anime that I really got into over the last few years. It's funny! It's a mockery of the isekai genre while also being a good isekai. That's the mark of a good parody. Like Space Balls or Blazing Saddles. You mock the genre's tropes, but you also show why the genre is fun, and you don't just deride it to feel morally superior.
