You mentioned some time ago that there is a "The Heart of Cyberpunk 2077" video kicking around in your head. With the latest update kinda turning the narrative around the game, which was your main obstacle to covering it at the moment, should we get our hopes up?
Not in my head, complete on digital paper. However, I wouldn't expect this video to get made anymore at this juncture. It'd be a total of 5-6 minutes, and I'd rather cover that game ...

I mentioned In Bruges last week in the Q&A, so I better recommend it here! in Bruges is a terrifically funny film that never the less, has a darkness to it that many films wouldn't dare cross.
It's not just a brilliant directorial debut by Martin McDonough (who also did Seven Psychopaths, another film I've recommended), it's just a flat out great film with some of the best performances by every actor involved, Colin Farrell in particular. Martin was nominated for his screenplay, bu...

There's lots of depression surrounding the gaming industry. Derivative designs. Exploitive business practices. Exploitative work practices. Middling sequels. Etc.
So let's dive into something that's kind of cool.

This is Shattered Horizon, a bespoke multiplayer FPS set in space. Released in 2009 exclusively for Windows Vista via a requirement for DirectX 10. You probably then don't need m...

What are some of your favorite movies?
Guy Richie's my George Lucas, and Snatch is my Star Wars. So I'll watch almost anything he does (I've not seen Swept Away).
Aside from the works of Guy Richie, there's films like Le Mans, Casino Royale, Ghost in the Shell, The Italian Job (OG), and anything by Martin Mcdonagh. In Bruges, Seven Psychopaths, and Three Billboards Outside Ebbing Missouri are all fantastic.

I love Civilization! I hold so many fond memories of multiplayer matches with friends and personal campaigns. However.. it's been a long time since I've played Civ, purely because of the time commitment. I've heard so many matches of Civ be started by friends and left unfinished, it's become something of a joke...
A joke the developers of Ozymandias are very much aware of and address via effective streamlining of the 4X/Grand Strategy genre. This demo really stands out, not only as a pr...

There's something I don't do nearly enough of in my life and that's reading.
The irony of where I'm writing this isn't lost on me, but I mean, reading books. I've got plenty of them on my shelves and I've read a decent chunk them, but I've enforced a personal ban on purchasing more of them.
Why I haven't enforced this rule for video-games? Well, Steam doesn't require you to buy a third sh...

What's your opinion on the Manhunt games? Do you think a game with that kind of subject matter and portrayal of violence can be successful in the modern day if done well?
I think anything can, even the ultra-violent, ultra edgy stuff, though I can't speak much to Manhunt, as I've never played it. Goref...

While I might've recommended this film in my Metro Exodus video, Ukraine's sadly fallen under far worse circumstance since then. Obviously, you can't watch a documentary about history that's being made right now, but you can watch vital events that've ultimately led to this.
Winter on Fire is quite a remarkable film to watch. The imagery is genuinely breathtaking at times, during its most intense scenes of war and most heartwarming gathering of people. That acknowledgement of empathy an...

Hey everybody!
Years ago, I stopped pausing the Patreon every month I didn't put out a video while still working hard behind the scenes, but... this is different. The next video has gone slowly, not because there wasn't progress being made. I even scored a pretty big interview I can't wait for you to get a glimpse of.
However, progress was halted while I got caught up viewing the escalating crisis in Ukraine, that is now suffering from a full Russian invasion.
There's better...

I was originally planning to recommend Squid Game, which I still will at some point, as I think it's a program worth watching, irrespective of the hype attached to it. I also hold the same belief for Arcane, I went into it with pretty low expectations, as someone who hasn't played a second of League of Legends, and doesn't plan on changing that.
However, as much as I liked Squid Game, I haven't seen it twice... I have for Arcane.

You can't talk about art, without someone else talking about "liberalization" (???) of characters.
The sequel to Horizon Zero Dawn's been released, and predictably, lots of conversations regarding the game aren't about its open world, graphical fidelity, or storytelling, but its main character not being attractive enough.
You've likely seen bait posts online being unironically carried by ...

I've only really played Tribes Ascend but have very fond memories of that game. I also got to play a little bit of Midair; I've got no idea if it's got a constant population, but the game's a free download and was fun to play so...

So, this isn't always true, but typically, if I'm still thinking about scenes in a movie 5+ years after watching, it must've done something right. That's Lord of War for me. While I've not watched Andrew Niccole's most famous films like The Truman Show or Gattaca, Lord of War is fantastic.
One key part of how this film stands out is how much it puts the anti in anti-hero. Nicholas Cage is charismatic as all hell, his lines are very quotable, and he'll even make you laugh, but that doesn...

I've played the game, played the 1v1 maps, recorded lots of footage, and wrote the main opening. Next tasks on the list are to finish the script, host a larger multiplayer session, and capture footage of earlier games.
One of those steps was previously to try contacting developers, and I almost got close but… seems like I've hit a dead end.

It's really hard for me to not hold some excitement over IO Interactive's 007 Game. It's such a match made in heaven on paper, though, we've seen hype for potential before not at all realized, so I'm trying to keep a leash on those thoughts.

Don't be surprised if lots of this bands content show up in my recommendations from here on out, not because I just discovered them, but because I found them years ago, and I'm still listening to the same music.
I'm a sucker for aggressive distorted electronics, and Battle Tapes more than salsify, but what they manage to maintain is a positive exuberant energy you typically don't get from the NIN's, KMFDMs, and Amon Tobin's of the world.

It doesn't really matter if the answer's yes or no, you should want it now, and it exists via Century Age of Ashes. Ignore the boring ass title, because this is a shockingly polished free to play PVP game that is perfect for kicking back with friends as you light enemies on fire.

I'll try to not just copy and paste the introduction of my next video. Long story short, IO Interactive announced a new 007 Game and… I can't think of a better developer for the job. What’s your process like in creating a video? I.E, do you have a strict process of researching, writing, and editing or is it more dependent on the type of video?
The order of steps can vary depending on the project, but for the most part, I play through the game fully, then research heavily, before starting the script, narrating, organizing audio, applying footage, and adding music.
The reason for playing through the game first b...

Weirdly, I've been listening to edgier music now than when I was a Teenager. What's refreshing about this The Hell EP then? Well, it's as heavy as any other heavy music out there. Thunderous guitar riffs, screaming vocals, and sudden switches, only it doesn't take itself very seriously.
Lyrics like "Drop an LP and the sales go WOOSH" or "Dickheads lose their shit and lap up what we bring" are so silly, they wrap around and become entertaining on top of all this production.

So Ubisoft has finally released a new Rainbow Six game…

Not that you'd instantly guess that based on screenshots.

I've played Dark Souls 1, 2, 3, and Bloodborne, but 3's the only real one I've gotten into. Absolutely loved it, and still recall many things about my experience in that game. The others either feel clunkier, or aren't available beyond 1080p30fps in the case of Bloodborne.

Moore never clicked with me as a kid, but having recommended Live and Let Die previously, that changed, and it changes even more with The Spy Who Loved Me.

Unused/underused setting for an RPG you'd like to see?
I'll avoid saying Spies or Racing, because I've already gone on tirades in videos about those concepts. One that springs to my mind is in Military Shooters.
