I admittedly was a little disappointed with this record on a first lesson, as I was going in expecting a whole list of bangers like the opening Mountains at Midnight, but I gave this album a second chance, and I'm grateful...
I remember the band talking about freeing themselves to simplify songs, go back to basics, and when listening to tracks like The Firing Line, Triggers, and brillaint closer Waves, I really started to get what they meant. Not back to basics in the sense of repeating...

Memento's a film I've been meaning to scratch off the list for years, especially for being a total sucker for films that delibertly mess with the audiences head.
The unreliable narrator is reliably entertaining.
What I wasn't expecting from Memento was to feel inspired by the end, as inspired as I did watching El Mariachi, because though this is may be Christopher Nolan with his writing on point, Guy Pearce leading on fire, and not a moment being wasted... it's a film anybod...

Most games use something binary while splinter cell and thief used a spectrum of dark and light. Recently playing those, I was in the mindset that if I'm not in the lowest levels of visibility, i might as well be completely visible since I don't know specifically how enemies will spot me in the "middle" values of visibility. Intended to be uploaded September 10th.... our friends at DaVinci Resolve and Adobe Premiere have given me permission to upload to y'all the complete cut of my latest video.
All that's left for public release is to assure Copyright is cleared, and make the thumbnail. In the meantime, I hope y'all enjoy it!
As much of a pain in the ass its been, a lot was learned, and I'm hoping to carry this over to my next project immediately. As always, there will be a Post-Mortem on this video ...

After 5+ attempts in DaVinci Resolve, there's finally a Rough Cut rendered of my next video!
I put emphasis on the rough because there's a couple artifacts (thanks DaVinci) and I've already got rewritten lines for the opening, boss fights, and more, I recorded them last night, but my voice wasn't quite up to snuff, so I'm going to re-record them again today.
There's several unfinished elements, mainly the opening visuals, as I've yet to render my After Effects files, as w...

There's a very real mood that came from early 2000s electronic music that I really miss. Songs you'd hear on games like Need for Speed, SSX3, Burnout Revenge, etc.
Artists like Andy Hunter, Overseer, Paul Oakenfold, BT, Cirrus, Fluke, Hyper, and of course, The Prodigy, and The Chemical Brothers.
Pronobozo (who I discovered through Pure Pwnage, that relic), really encompasses that vibe and energy, and while I can recommend almost anything he's produced, I've recommend his sop...

Since I finally got around to watching Into the Spiderverse, and loving everything about it, I got to hop into the theatres for its anticipated sequel, and it's gotten some hate due to the toxicity of its fandom and social media outrage.
All of which is completely unrelated to the film itself, and now that it's been a couple months, hasn't been nearly as prevelant online, at least from my feeds, the film can just be completey enjoyed.
It's actually rather remarkable how much this ...

Previously, on Randomly Mine!
I talked about gaming's currently common cynical cash-grab character crossovers. Fortnite becoming a fight to the death on an island between Master Chief, Jill Valentine, Chun Li, John Wick, Miles Morales, and a million other iconic characters, isn't nearly as cool as it should be when most exciting thing its currently doing with them…

I'm glad I've been able to avoid this scenario as long as I have.
It used to be that my cut off point for which videos I was hapy with was Mass Effect 2 Years Later onwards, but that's changed since then, now it's everything after Metro Exodus Yea...

Normally, I don't recommend a new album or film this quickly, but god damn, the album just slaps that much! And it's not just Bogus Operandi, there's banger after banger here from Trapdoor Solution, The Bomb, The Way The Story Goes, etc.
What's more surprising is the pacing of this album, it never overstays its welcome, and features multiple surprises in the best way, mainly the end of What Did I Ever Do To You?
I wasn't exhausted, worn down, or left wanting at all by the end of t...

I get a little uneasey when I see people put a specific studio on a pedestal, but it's happening right now to A24, and works like BEEF is the one had me putting them on one.
I loved Everything Eveywhere, All at Once, I recommended it on here last year, and I wouldn't go so far to say that BEEF is better, but is has stuck with me more, because while both are absolute rollercoasters with larger than life events and characters, BEEF's themes hit really close to home...

The latest crossover event from Modern Warfare II has been done with Amazon Prime's The Boys Homelander and Starlight, but the next crossover's already leaked, and it's gaming's feminine icon, Lara Croft.

If you don't like LOUD albums... skip this one.
If you like 'em, then this album kicks you in the teeth right from the opening, and continues to with most of these filthy yet catchy rock vibe.
What surprised me was that it's not entirely one note, with the stripped back synths and build up of Animal, metal aggresion in Body Bag, and the straight up heartmoving This Is Not The End.
It's sometimes embarassing to learn "Don't judge a book by its cover...

is it weird for you to think of Canada as a bilingual country, or do you just not think that way because the majority of Francophones live in one province? Ou peut-être vous êtes bilingue?
I'm definitely not. French class was terrible, and I was even worse. It isn't weird for me though, because as the majority are in a single province on the opposite end of the country from where I am, it never really comes up.

I've caught up on Naughty Dog's post-PS3 era, and where The Last of Us II and Uncharted 4 overstay their welcome, Lost Legacy better paces itself while telling a better story than both.
Lost Legacy doesn't have Last of Us II's massive gameplay improvements, nor its technical marvel and obsessive detail, in-fact, it's buggier than Uncharted 4. However, the characters a narrative more than make up for it, and the gameplay sequences themselves are also an improvement from Uncharted 4.

I don't know anything about Mike Dean.
I don't know why this face (I assume his) is on the cover.
I didn't know what genre I was getting into when a friend DM'd this album to me asking about feeling like they're envisioning scenes while listening to the album.
It's awesome when that happens.
While I admittedly skipped the longest tracks on the album on my first listen, 4:23 is immensely atmopsheric in its soundscapes, and unless you need the harshest beats, this album'...

Is it true that there’s no Canada like french Canada?
It's certainly the most unique we get as a Country; I've not been to Prince Edward, but I've been to Manitoba, Quebec, Ontario, and obviously, lived in BC, and Canada (unlike the United States) is pretty uniform in more than just its infastructure.
Being in Toronto felt surprisingly at home.

This film's title sucks.
This film's box art sucks.
But goddamn was this film good.
It makes total sense why Shailene Woodley through herself into the Producer seat to make this happen, because the script is simply superb, and she is remarkable in it. There's an amount of depth in its characters, dialogue, and storytelling that I'm just not used to seeing in mid-budget one-off films.
Primitive effects, and poor attempts to cover up the film lo...

Going from For Your Eyes Only to this, was like going from Detroit to Barbados.
That might've influenced my enjoyment of this film, but in-general, Octopussy is just a really fun Roger Moore Bond film with hilariously charming Villains, fun set-pieces, and surprisingly high stakes.
While Moonraker and Spy Who Loved Me are still films I hold higher than John Glend's sophomore effort, Octopussy is a still a great film to kick back with a drink and smile throughout.

Why can't Marvel be this?
It's watching films like Honor Among Thieves with its charismatic cast of characters, phenomenal effects practical and digital, thrilling set-pieces, and mostly endearing humor, that serve to remind that these types of fun adventures, are best experienced through film.
Having two hours of your normal day instead feel like a complete journey, that I hope to experience again sometime soon.

What do you value most in an RPG? And what is something you think more games should focus more on for RPGs?
Ever since doing the Alpha Protocol video, what I really want to see more of is reactivity rather than choice. Instead of the game going "here's all these decisions" I want the game to instead go "We're going to notice whatever you pick."
It's kind of funny how one of the most iconic moments in gaming is Deus Ex's "Denton, stay o...

I haven't immediately fallen head over heels for an album this quickly in a long time, but it's no surprise that the group achieving this is Battle Tapes.
Despite doing what I normally don't, and binging each single leading up to the album's release, the complete package still manages to surprise with just how much the band reinvents themselves, almost per-track at points, and unlike the previous album Polygon which, while great, was a little messy in places...
