Hi, everyone. I'm coming up for air only briefly to stick this up here. I'm up to my eyeballs dealing with all of the new CV mechanics and trying to glue in what I learn into no less than six reviews I'm working on currently. Expect the Irian review first within the next few days.
I should be more visible in the coming couple of weeks.

I threw this together as quickly as I could! I'm going to bed.
2019-01-12 07:40:15 +0000 UTC View PostHappy New year, everyone. I hope you all had a safe and wonderful holiday wherever you are.
My own were spent with family -- specifically my sisters who each had the flu rampage through their households. They each have two young girls so the sickness hit them especially hard. I spent most of my post-Christmas being an extra sets of arms to provide cuddles and an extra set of hands to help change bedding, clean and run errands. I'm never going to say no to baby cu...

It's the most wonderful time of the year! ♫
My family has always celebrated Christmas. Yet, I find myself feeling like a bit of a Grinch this time of year. I place this squarely on my time spent working in retail. Christmas decorations would go up after close on October 31st and carols would begin playing over the PA system the very next day and wouldn't stop until January. Sale preparations, inventory and training would all precede this by two mont...

I apologize about the lack of a Mouse Droppings post this week. Real Life is kicking my butt. Between taking up a second job, caring for babies, birthdays and getting sick, it slipped through the cracks. The late publishing of this review should be a ready indicator of this -- I was hoping to have it up last week but stuff happened.
Thank you all for your support!  ...

I got enough asks this morning to put my Bourgogne review down for the day and crunch some numbers regarding the new Santa-themed loot boxes Wargaming is selling for World of Warships. I did the math to figure out their equivalent value per drop. I'm still collecting data to give a rough impression of odds.

Ugh, my brain is not thinking good. My apologies for not linking this when it was published on Friday. It was such a mad scramble to get it out on time, it totally slipped my mind. Bad, Mouse. Bad.

2018-11-22 19:46:30 +0000 UTC View PostHow was your week? Mine was interesting.
I recovered from the plague by Tuesday and rolled up my sleeves and got stuck in with some more playtesting of Vanguard. Wargaming had dumped a whole brand new set of updates on her and I was very curious to see if they'd finally hit that sweet spot for balance. I believe that they had. I submitted the feedback to Wargaming detailing as much on Wednesday. To prepare for my review, I began ramping up the number of games played, taking m...

Wargaming have finally given me their release schedule for the November premiums so I could budget my time and ensure that I got all of my reviews out. I would like you all to note it is now the second week of November when I received this.
The good news is that you're getting upwards of six reviews within the next few weeks. The bad news is that they will not likely be published when the ship comes out. Wargaming has given me zero notice that HMS Vanguard and HMS Dreadnought...
2018-11-15 18:18:16 +0000 UTC View PostI had a lot to write about this week. I had big plans. I have notes here about Vanguard. I wanted to talk about the possible changes coming to the Japanese tech tree. I wanted to celebrate that the proposed zero-damage penetration change was being rescinded. Heck, I even wanted to talk about what happened at Blizzcon and how I perceive what happened there was being symptomatic of changes within a company that consumers should always keep a wary eye out for. &...
2018-11-12 02:01:23 +0000 UTC View PostI would like to thank you all for your suggestions on what to name this weekly blog dump. A couple of you suggested "Mouse Droppings" and it made me giggle snort, so that made it a shoe-in. Welcome to the first of what will be a weekly series of shitposts going forward for all of my Patrons. Here I can do just about anything, from talking about upcoming reviews to what I've been up to or just venting. I think it should be pretty fun and it should live up to its title.

Before I go any further, I want to thank you all for your support this year. Real life has blown up in a bad way for me and it's been difficult keeping up with everything to the point that I'm not feeling too happy with how much attention I've spent here. So what's been going on?

I cannot stress enough what a godsend all of you have been. I'll have a big post on Monday regarding what's been going on, why updates have been slow and what plans are for the future. Don't worry, it's nothing bad, but the info will be restricted to my Patrons only.
Talk to you all then!

The first of two reviews that are coming out this week (or so I hope). Thank you all for your patience. I know there's a backlog of rewards I need to tackle. Once I have a handle on Le Terrible, I will be crunching through them all. I really appreciate your patience in this.

Something a little different for you all today. I was doing some house-cleaning through ShipComrade's archives and I stumbled across a near finished review of HMS Duke of York. Yikes, this one was an ordeal to get through. For those of you not aware, I've had access to Stalingrad, off and on, since mid to late May. I'm back from vacation. Things were hella busy between April and July with an average of three reviews published per month on top of testing and other Community Contributor responsibilities. Yes, that's a link to the forums and not ShipComrade. There's still some teething issues to fix with the new format on the site, so T-61's review may be delayed getting published there for a week or so while everything gets sorted.

Don't get too excited -- this is mostly filler. Boise is a clone of Nueve de Julio. The review itself is largely a copy and paste job. I only did it to try and head off the inevitable "Where is the Boise review?" questions and then having to explain that Nueve de Julio is the Boise review.

Why should World of Tanks and World of Warplanes get all of the fun? World of Warships is severely lacking in achievements and medals and I thought it could stand to gain a few more.

Note this review may (or may not) also apply to USS Boise. The jury is still out on how the American release of this ship will appear.
