Elite Wehrmacht Panzer Division was destroyed here
At these Eastern Front woods we find WW2 equipment that points out the destruction of an elite Panzer Division from the Wehrmacht. They were on the run for the Soviets in the final phase of the war and left all kind of artifacts behind.

Witness the clean up process of this British WW2 road sign. It was initially used to indicate roads that were cleared of mines. This sign was later painted over to indicate the presence of the field hospital that was near. I used an oxalic acid solution to clean up this sign and preserved it with boiled linseed oil.

We visit a patch of woods at the former Western Front of WW2 and discover evidence of a field hospital that was here. Not only was this site used by the Wehrmacht as a base to train soldiers, but later on in the war wounded soldiers were treated here from both sides.

We explore a wooded area on the Eastern Front of WW2 where an SS Panzer Division was destroyed. We find equipment that was abandoned by the fleeing SS during the final days of the war. It's incredible to see what they left behind!

Abandoned Wehrmacht Base still loaded with WW2 Treasures!
This abandoned Wehrmacht base blew our minds! We use our metal detectors to recover all kinds of treasures from that time frame. The former barrack foundations are also still visible.

We explore abandoned US Army front line positions from the Battle of the Bulge to see what WW2 artifacts can still be found here. Lots of equipment was left behind! We also visit a Wehrmacht barrack site in this area that was used to help build the West Wall. I got some new camera equipment so everything will be filmed in 4K from now on!!

We explore the former drop zones from WW2 on the Western Front. The Allied forces were dropped from the sky locked and loaded. We discover evidence from the bitter fighting that took place here. The Allied army left behind lots of ammo and parachute equipment here.

In a special patch of woods near a bridgehead we discover WW2 relics from three different armies. First the Americans took over and destroyed the Wehrmacht. Eventually they gave this place up to the Soviets. History is all mixed up in this forest!

We submerge ourselves in an old lake with our metal detector and magnet to recover WW2 artifacts. This time we find another arsenal of weapons that was dumped here at the end of the war when the Wehrmacht was retreating. It's as if a whole WW2 armory was dumped here.

While visiting the Westwall we discover hidden bunkers where there's WW2 equipment still around. A nearby German barrack site shows us even more traces of the activity that went on in this area. You can find everything with a metal detector here!
