UPDATE!! 7/26/20

It's been a bit of a gloomy week for me. Though I like rainy weather, it's been mostly dark clouds for the past week and a half where I live. Combined with staying at home for anything but the essentials has put me into a bit of a lull. I just haven't been feeling creative this week. I've spent most of my time either in bed or on the couch. I'm sure the feeling is relatable to a lot of you out there given our current situation.

I have updated the file for the Android version of Crimson Veil on itch.io. This port was provided to me by user the66. The original version was not uploaded in a proper format and was removed. Crimson Veil 3.0.1 Now available to Everyone!

The latest version of Crimson Veil is now available to download! I'm trying one thing new with this release: I've created and Android/iOS version. 

I do not have an android device to test this version and I'm not sure how the iOS version would work, so if someone could help me out with that, I'd greatly appreciate it! I have an iPhone, but I assume that I would need to have a jail broken device to run it? If anyone can explain it better, I would be more than happy ...

The newest story chapter is now available to play, just in time for the weekend! It's been over a year since the main story got properly updated, so I hope that the wait will have been worth it for you! There's a great amount of content here as well as some balance changes and fixes. I look forward to all of your thoughts!

UPDATE!! 6/28/20

The newest update is now complete and is currently being tested for bugs and such! I'm happy to say that the release for Crimson Veil 3.0 is IMMINENT! I only ask that you be patient for just a few more days to allow my testers and I plenty of time to catch and correct any issues we can find before release.

UPDATE!! 6/21/20

The main scenario is now about 80% complete. Events are properly scripted through the end of the main boss fight. As I may have stated in a previous update, this upcoming chapter is quite a bit longer than the previous chapters. There have been plenty of scenes to script which have taken a few hours to get right. UPDATE!! 6/7/20

This week has been a bit busy for me me personally. Plenty of family obligations had to be done before I could get any work done on the game. 

I created a few more fancy looking NPCs for the castle area, since the generic ones just didn't seem to fit the vibe of the area well. More scenes have been scripted in the castle portion. Roughly 45 percent of the scenario is properly scripted.

The two new "diversion quests" as I will call them are nearly complete. By diversion, I of course am referring to the new slime cave area and casino area. technically, they don't have any quests attached to them, but them, but they can both be accessed soon after reaching the new area and played in any order you like. Both areas have rewards worth getting.

This was a highly productive week for development! The game is now scripted to the point where you reach Fallholt. For reference, that's roughly 1/3 of the way through this chapter. My new PC arrived yesterday and I spent the whole day transferring over and installing everything to get settled back in. RPG Maker seems to be running fine so far. I don't think it's missing anything... Fingers crossed! Since I was computer-less last week, I figured I may as well sketch something and try to be productive. I have an annoying technical set back...

I have a bit of unfortunate news to share. 

I've got some rather annoying PC issues that are preventing me from working. My computer's SSD is starting to fail and my PC is now randomly crashing. Aside from that, play testing causes my computer to lag for some reason and the audio on my computer has been clipping as well.  I've been dealing with this for the past 3 weeks or so, but its getting worse.

UPDATE!! 5/3/20

I cannot believe it is May already... This whole past month has felt like such a blur. I could not get my brain together to write anything this week. My mind was blank whenever I would try to write dialogue for scenes, so I gave up on it for now and decided to spend the week working on some illustrations instead. I got three done and I'm currently sketching a fourth.

UPDATE!! 4/26/20

This week I began mostly scripting story events. I'm still early on since there is a lot of dialogue to account for between all of the shuffling NPCs in Noctorna and the new docks to the north. Maria will also be teaching Mila a useful new Light Skill, just as she did at the beginning of Chapter 2. Some early areas have their scenes written, though I feel that I may go back and edit them as I move forward.
