My very first video tutorial is about how to create a smoke trail for a fast moving object using a combination of shelf tools and custom setups to get the best out of Houdini shelf smoke trail setup.
Its about twice as long as I planned it to be and I'll try and keep future videos shorter :) . There are some sections that I think I didn't do the best jobs of explaining so feel free to let me know if I need to have another go at explaining anything.
Enjoy and thanks for watching. 2018-11-28 08:01:28 +0000 UTC View Post

With Houdini 17 released and the amazing new addition of the Vellum solver its made my old stick setup obsolete. I was working on a tutorial but I don't think its work doing anymore but I still want to give my patrons an insight into how I did it.
Enjoy :)

2018-08-03 07:46:12 +0000 UTC View PostThe first quick tip is on the blog. Its VEX and it's about extracting a vector directly from a quaternion like say the orient attribute. It's not the most common thing to do but I needed to do exactly that recently. Like to the post: https://zybrand.xyz/quick-tip-code-extracting-a-vector-from-a-quaternion#more-175 Enjoy
