Chapter 144 - Does Anyone Speak Burendian?
A cloud of dust billowed through the air as Eve first step foot down the leftward passage, the prevalence of the stuff implying this particular suite had contained somehow more decaying matter than others, either in terms of wooden furniture or a true excess of fabric and cushions. Knowing royalty, Eve assumed the latter.
She and Preston both coughed and blinked through the airborne particles while Wes happily took advantage of his clown ...

Chapter 142 - Something to Kill
Eve unstrapped her club from her back, stepping in front of her squishy companions in case anything should come screaming down the hallway for them. She doubted any sentry constructs of the kind she’d seen so far could fit through the passage, but if Eve had learned anything in her time as an adventurer, it was to be ready for all sorts of wacky bullshit...

Chapter 141 - Weird Notifications
Preston sensed the urgency in her voice, immediately dropping to his knees next to her. “What’s going on?”
Wes scowled. “Did you get a milestone?”
“No… no I…” Eve shook her head. “They’re not from my class.” She looked down at the white lines running along the floor beneath her. “I think they’re from the enchantments.”
Wes’s eyes shot open. “I’m sorry, what?”
As if to punctuate his p...

Chapter 140 - The Biggest of the Really Big Doors
“Are you sure it’s hers?” Preston called down as Eve examined the unnatural root two levels below him.
“It’s hard to say for certain,” she answered. “Alex’s spear definitely isn’t the only enchanted item with a root-summoning power, and it’s also entirely possible there are classes out there that can do that too.”
“But it looks like one of hers?” Wes asked.
“I think so?” Eve squint...

Chapter 139 - Down
The passage opened up into a vast vertical cylinder, the path on which the party walked twisting to the right to follow the wall of the space. Through the mist that permeated even this place, Eve could just barely make out where the four other entrances beneath the griffin nest turned into their own roads, creating four separate spiral paths into the deep.
Peering over...

Chapter 138 - You’ve Seen One Ancient Ruined City, You’ve Seen Them All
Eve made it through ten synchronized jumps of the misthoppers, ten sudden lurches forward followed by slow slides to a halt, before she decided she’d rather walk. After twelve, Art made a similar decision, opting instead to join Preston on Reginald’s back.
Wes, whose stomach was apparently far stronger than Eve had ever given him credit for, stayed aboard the sled, sitting back and chatting with their ...

Chapter 137 - Seriously, What’s With the Eyepatch Thing?
Eve leapt back into the pond without hesitation, even dropping a low-mana Jet to hasten her way out of the cave. She resurfaced just in time to watch Drathis appear in the mist.
He didn’t walk into vision, nor did he ride on the back of some beast.
Drathis was pulled.
Twelve six-foot-tall, jarringly white frogs tugged at series of harnesses, each hopping forth in time with the crack of Drathi...

Chapter 136 - These Fields Really Aren’t as Dead as the Name Would Seem to Imply
The journey west went simply enough. Eve alternated between running along the ground and Jetting through the air depending on the terrain, while the others—sans Lumy who floated along on her own—rode on Reginald’s back.
In the air, the drake outpaced Eve whenever her Defiant Charge was on cooldown, forcing her to lag behind then shoot ahead in short bursts. Me...

Chapter 135 - Gods Damnit, We Have to Go to the Dead Fields Again
Eve let out a quiet groan as she trawled through the Dragonwrought’s vault for the thousandth time. She knew, of course, there would be nothing new to find there. Her team were the only ones still adventuring and finding loot, after all, but still she searched.
With any luck, buried under an ebonsteel cuirass or hidden beneath a bathroom rug of eternal warmth, she’d find something, anything enchanted wi...

Chapter 134 - We Return to Your Regularly Scheduled Silliness
The passing of months eased the sting of Alex’s betrayal.
The trek back from Avendreth Manor took twice as long as their journey there, mostly owing to the regular stops to while away afternoons taking turns riding Reginald as he flew through the air on his new phantom wings. Despite the relative discomfort of the road and the dependence on dried rations, Eve considered the journey a much-needed vacation.
Under ...

Hey all,
I'm sorry chapter releases have been a bit spotty lately. To put it shortly, my wrist is fucked up. I've been doing everything I can to write through it for the last few weeks, but it's only gotten worse. At the advice of my doctor, I'm taking a hiatus from writing until it's recovered. It should hopefully only be a week or two.
Again, I apologize for the delay and the lack of communication. I hope you'll all bear with me stick around for book 3. To tha...

Hey all! Time for another art poll! As per usual, there may be some minor spoilers for lower tier patrons.
----
I also want to take this opportunity to address some of the concerns about the end of book 2. The worst feeling any artist can experience is to pour themselves into something they're truly excited to share with people only to learn their work comes up short.
I'm sorry to have disappointed.
I'm going to spe...

I'm super excited to announce that book one of This Quest is Bullshit is now available on Amazon!
Book one covers chapters 1-45, from Eve's departure from Nowherested all the way to the party coming out of the mountains at the wrong end. If you have a moment, I would really appreciate if you could head over to amazon and leave a review.

Hey everyone,
As I look towards publishing book 1, I've run into a bit of a dilemma: Amazon (and most platforms) prohibit profanity in all advertisements. This includes obscured profanity like "bullsh*t"
As such, the amazon listing for This Quest is Bullshit will have to be under a different title. Here are a few options I've been considering, and please let me know in the comments if you have any other ideas.
