Don't call it a comeback.
So THIS toxic pit of goo is far from the best thing I've ever made, but I hope it can ooze its way into the Starbarians canon of shorts without leaving too many noxious fumes.
Onwards, upwards, and sideways-words I will persevere. I will endeavour to release the super ambitious DOCTOR BEES FOREVER as soon as is humanly possible (or bee-ily possible).

I've just returned from a 3-night stay in Bordeaux, France that was PURELY FOR BUSINESS REASONS. I had to sign several hundred prints for the French-language Starbarians comic campaign, and flights to Bordeaux are about $40... so it was MUCH cheaper to sign them in person (minus my enormous food bill)

Thank you so much for another month of support. Things have a been quiet around here but rest assured I've been head down and pencil pushy!
I'm happy to say that progress on the comic is going well and I'm currently on track to have all 100 pages finished in JUNE! It will probably be later in the summer that the comic is uploaded here for STARBARIAN tier patrons to enjoy, after I get confirmation that the first physical copies are shipping.

Honestly, one of my most challenging projects ever despite its SEEMINGLY small scope.
I don't want to be too negative but I'll just say that this cartoon became an OBLIGATION. Having the Starbarians permanently sitting in their ship discussing things does NOT represent the limit of my ambitions for them (as you know). If I'd have known this project would take as long as it did, I would have prioritised the graphic novel...
I've just been drawing so many Killgarians as of late.
Colourist Ben Sawyer and I have been slowly tackling the huge number of illustrated "lore" images required for the overdue Killgar's Kode 2 - these are just a few.
A lot of the cutaways are going to be animated (as in the CHOMPING example shown) which is something I've never really tried with fully coloured characters. We have some really fun sequences in that more limited style!

Hello all, just a little update that I'll be posting in a few places.
I'm sorry for being overconfident that I could get the festive Starbarians cartoon out in December. I did a lot of thinking and have decided to stay on it and release it in January (it's not THAT Christmassy after all, just a few sleigh bells in the soundtrack and some cozy vibes). It might even cheer you up on a dreary January evening.

I just wanted to wish you all a day of seasonal cheer and to remind you that I AM CURRRENTLY BUSTING ASS ON THIS LITTLE CARTOON.
