Going on Hiatus for November

Hey all. I just paused the billing cycle for November.

It's a bit embarrassing since I feel like I'm just getting started on a ton of things, but I'm taking a quick mental and physical health break over the course of November, and naturally I'm not going to charge you for a month with no art to be seen.

The last few months have been slow on my end partly due to overworking my wrist and stress from constantly feeling rushed, with little to actually show for it. To solve that. while...

Sorry for the slow month, everyone. I've been ridiculously scatter-brained and indecisive the last few weeks. I think I've finally figured out what direction to head in though, so here's some quick and ugly WIPs in the meantime.

Outrun P5: Haru PSD

This one came out pretty clean. I didn't have to use too many fancy tricks to get it where I wanted it. As usual, I hope you find it interesting to dig through.

I think I'll be releasing sketch packs like this instead of as a zip file from here on out. It makes the timeline prettier, and it's easier for you all to pick out what you want, instead of downloading everything.

Outrun P5: Haru Concepts

Once again, I pretty much knew what I wanted with Haru's outfit right from the beginning, with the long fluffy coat being my first thought. Once it was on screen though, it looked more retro-futuristic or cyberpunkish to me.  So I switched over to a more classic look and swapped the fluff with frills.

I think I got the color right the first time. I did like the white in place of black, but since I'm going for a organized crime look with this series I felt the dark purple sold that ...

Outrun P5: Yusuke Concepts

Nearly forgot to post this. Whoops.

As you can see I had a pretty strong idea of what I wanted to do with Yusuke from the beginning. Suits are pretty timeless, and don't have much variation to them, so most of my brainstorming went toward the patterns.

There *might* be more to this at a later date, because I'm crazy and want to include more patterns on the back of the jacket. We'll see if that becomes relevant or necessary then.

Yusuke in HD glory. Might I point your attention to the gold patterns? They're easily my favorite thing about this piece, and only a high-res version of the image can do them justice.

Finally done! Thanks for waiting. This one took a while because as you've likely realized, I have a habit of biting off more than I can chew. You'll see just what I mean by that in a few days.

Two versions: One with the gratuitous violence I originally envisioned and a ""Vegan""  edition without the bloodiness.

I'm going to try something new with High-res files. Instead of including full illustrations in a pack along with sketches at the end of the month, I'll be posting them separately as soon as, or a bit earlier than when the public post hits twitter.

High-res Pack for May 2020

Lots of sketches this month. I updated a few of the sketches to give more uniformity to the single character shots. I hope you like the small changes!

There are a few guarantees in life. One of those is Taxes.

Due to laws being passed in several countries, Patreon has to tax certain pledges starting July 1st. They've of course sent me and other creators emails recommending we be the first to tell you about it.

It sounds like most of you won't actually be taxed, but those of you who are will see a small increase in the price of your pledge. (Affected US residents can expect a 4%-11% tax to be added, depending on location and benefits rewarded.)

April was a "Quality over Quantity" type of month, in that everything I worked on was brought to the full color stage. Very slow... and tiring... but hopefully you'll agree it was worth the effort.
