SIS Book 2 Chapter 22: Changes and Chicken [First Draft]

"You can't arrest Daddy, he did nothing wrong!" Fiona abruptly shouted as her eyes started to water up.

Daz looked somewhat bothered by this, but he continued to disregard the teenager. "Crusher?"

The tall Titan grinner and said, "The barracks have a few holding cells meant for punishing soldiers that make critical mistakes. I suppose you could throw him in one of those?"

As if his brain had just caught up with the conversation, Robert's face paled and he exclaimed, "W...

SIS Book 2 Chapter 21: Stats and Arrest [First Draft]

There were nine bodies that had started to slowly decay being stored inside of one of Fort Skip's closed shipping containers. Three of them belonged to the Higher Devils, five were the Monster Dogs and the last was the Demon Lord's mutilated body.

Thankfully, due to their power when they were alive, their bodies were rather strong and were decomposing at a far slower rate than an average corpse would, meaning the there were no foul smells and the bodies were still safe for harvest...

"Mr Immortus-ss?" Swind asked. Rare was it that Lone would talk to Swind outside of meal times unless it was something important.

"Give me that sword of yours," Lone ordered.

"Of course." Swind didn't hesitate for a second and he immediately handed over the alterion greatsword that he struggled to wield.

"The harness too," Lone added.

Swind did as told. Everyone except for Sophie was confused. Why was Lone disarming his companion? True, the Lemurian was easily th...

"Now this a fight that I can enjoy! I won't go easy on you just because you're a kid, Eight-tails! I'm gonna go all out! As a fellow A-ranker, give me a good fight!" the Demon Princess loudly shouted as she gripped her legendary-rated greatsword and grinned towards Rachel.

Everyone knew that the Demon Princess was only seventeen-years-old while Rachel was twenty-one, so the small Foxkin was upset about being looked down upon because of her appearance.

"I'm older than you!" R...

Reika had returned to her astral form and was sitting on Daz's head again. The Reaper had gone to his personal training area and was fully intent on having the demon princess teach him the swordsmanship of the hero she once controlled. He wasn't sure if he could learn it or if it would help him due to the fact that he used a shovel, not a sword, but it would be foolish to disregard the possibility of gaining a new skill.

It was still early in the morning and no one except for Daz,...

Daz opened his eyes and groggily got out of bed while leaving the still asleep Madison alone. He went to the kitchen and made himself a cup of coffee. Now sat in the living room, Daz began thinking to himself.

'So that skill, 'Grave of The Gods', it can be used for building or fighting purposes, huh? Cecil made a big deal about how it can be used to trap enemies mid-fight. I guess I should dedicate some time to learning it today.' Daz took a sip of his cof...

The fights proceeded smoothly after Sophie and Falin's eventful match. Gradually, people stopped looking at Sophie and Lone and started to enjoy the displays of combat capabilities being presented to them. There was much to learn from watching other people fight.

Breena's first opponent was a female archer and it had been a relatively close fight due to the rank difference and thanks to the fact that Breena was purposefully not entering the shadows or using her fear magic. She wan...

A/N: As I said on my discord, sorry for the delay, I've been ill since Sunday evening.

Daz, having rested for a short while after his trip to the Court of Lords, immediately went to find Sandy in order to deal with the issue of housing his new citizens. Obviously, he didn't want to spend merit points nor base points on this now that he knew Sandy was capable of repairing and building living cabins with the aid of volunteers.

Clearly, since it was late in the evening now, San...

For once, it wasn't Sophie that was using Lone to hide from her stress and insecurities, but rather the other way around. Ignoring all of the strange glances he was getting, Lone had sat on the floor and forced Sophie onto his lap. His arms were wrapped around her waist and his chin was resting on her head.

Sophie's face was burning with embarrassment. She adored Lone's attention, but all of the looks of disgust and disdain that were being thrown towards the pair were making her s...

Lyle stared at the needle on the table in front of him with downcast eyes. "... Just what am I doing with myself?"

He peeled his gaze away from the syringe and the small bag of unidentifiable substance before he looked up at the ceiling. He couldn't help but remember what had happened this morning between himself and Daz.

Lyle had arrived later than the designated time and he looked like a mess, but he had arrived nonetheless, so he was hoping that his lord could find it wit...

The character test proceeded smoothly and once again, whether by coincidence or not, Lone was the only remaining person who had yet to be tested by Elder Talion.

Swind had been given a low pass due to how passive he was in most situations, but he was deemed as having a kind heart.

Breena was given a normal pass because she avoided trouble in her questions, even if trouble led to the morally correct choice, but if it came to helping the powerless, she voluntarily threw away h...

Follow-up on the poll.

I have decided after reading your comments and seeing the results of the poll thus far that I'll continue writing at least 2 (hopefully 3) chapters per week for LTW until book 3 is finished. Once book 3 is finished, I shall take a break from LTW to write Hades and focus on LTW's rewrite.

Thanks for all your support, it really means the world to me.

A Difficult Decision Regarding LTW.

I have come to a point where I feel like I want to stop writing LTW for now and focus on a newer idea. I really want to write and flesh out my other story, 'Hello, You're Through To Hades, How Can I Help You Today?'

So in summary, I'd like to put LTW on hiatus and instead of writing the two usual chapters per week for that, I'd write two for HYTHHCIHYT while writing 1 chapter for LTW's rewrite.

The main reason I'm hesitating to do this is because I'd feel like I'd let down you patrons th...

SIS Book 2 Chapter 16: Storybooks and Deranged [First Draft]

Two years had passed since Daz and Madison had started going to elementary school, and it was currently the middle of summer vacation. Daz's mother had arranged a simple apartment for him to live in on the orders of her husband and a very small amount of money was transferred to his bank account every month. Rent was paid for, so this paltry sum of currency was intended to be used for food and basic living supplies.

The eight-year-old Daz opened his eyes and looked at the beautifu...

Time flowed on after that and every one of Lone's companions were given a passing grade thus far. The only ones who hadn't been tested yet were Swind and Rachel.

Sophie had displayed her barrier magic and was given a perfect passing grade. Eolande's illusions were also graded as perfect while Breena's fear magic was given a low pass mark due to its limited usage and thanks to her D-Rank strength.

Eko gained a great pass for his holy palm and would have gotten a better score ...

A/N: A loupe is a jewellers pair of glasses meant for inspecting gems closely.

The first thing Daz did when he had returned to Fort Skip was giving every otherworlder and the group of five teens an identification medallion. After he had done that, he found Sandy and asked him if it was possible to create a new house or two to shelter all of Daz's new citizens.

Unluckily for the young Reaper, Sandy immediately said it was impossible without enough wood and simple metals. ...

No one disagreed with King Ele'hunda's declaration regarding skills, so one by one, people went up to display their abilities. Most of the Elves were displaying their best archery-related skills or scouting skills, which didn't interest Lone that much, but he still wanted to learn them.

"This sucks," Lone mumbled. He was upset that he couldn't learn the skills being shown since they were too far away for him to accurately copy them and they weren't being used on him, so the game s...

Update.

Sorry for my lack of posts last week. I had a bit of writer's block and I was busy finalising my transition to self-employment.

Starting from this week, I plan to write (hopefully) 3 chapters per week per story for you patrons while RRL will only get 2.

I'm hoping I can write 12,000 words per week, but we'll see.

Thanks for being patient with me.

Eight-feet-tall, jet-black skin, two-foot long horns and claws the size of swords. There were only three such monsters on this floor of the dungeon, but Ronny and his group of friends were clearly outmatched.

Eolande floated up to Elder Foru with absolutely no enthusiasm and looked straight into his eyes. "Make it fast, I'm already bored," she ordered him lazily.

Elder Foru was enraged, but he wasn't a match for Eolande and King Ele'hunda hadn't said anything in regards to her attitude, so he grit his teeth and performed the test.

"Don't be stupid," Daz licked his lips, "We're going to kill them and steal their stuff. It's too risky to try to bring them back if they're strong which they probably are if they have the confidence to challenge this place. If I can't have the people, I'm not going to le...

Fep got onto the stage and Elder Foru wasted no time before he started the test. He closed his eyes and raised his arms in Fep's direction before mumbling in an ancient language that only he was familiar with.

A few seconds passed and his eyelids slowly peeled back to reveal a set of pure white eyes. "Race: Changeling. Age: Thirty-nine. Energy level: B-Rank. Actual strength: Low A-Rank. Grade: Average Pass." Elder Foru's voice was very systematic and this led Lone to believe that ...

Some more time had passed, and finally, it was Rachel's turn to get tested. She was the last person from Lone's group except for Lone himself to be called up.

She slowly and nervously walked up to the stage and she had to hold herself up by her tails since she was too short to reach the orb by herself. A lot of the other participants laughed at this since it was very cute and amusing to look at.
