Comfort drawing // WIP

Ana Morales // WIP
Have y’all seen Gentefied on Netflix? Haven’t seen a good show like this in ages. Incredible story with incredible characters! I love Ana, she’s so gorgeous and outspoken. Started a doodle and am painting over it- seeing where the flow takes me.

Started this on my ipad, then lined in on photoshop. Haven't drawn on PS for myself in a while, and lately I haven't been very happy with how I'm drawing in procreate. The tools are very limited and I can't seem to make very detailed or sharp shapes. I think it's the brush I'm using, but even with buying a lot of brush packs and experimenting with different brushes, I can't seem to get narrow and sharp shapes out of it. Photoshop is just so much more versatile. Hopefully I'll find a better fl...

Also my left elbow is starting to hurt? I wasn’t taking it seriously because it’s not my drawing hand, but it feels the same as when my drawing hand nerve hurt. Gonna start taking this more seriously and take a break from drawing over the weekend. And I’ll see how I feel on Monday.

Wanted to make a piece heavily focusing on shape design. Spending a lot of time refining shapes. Also, haven’t done lineless pieces a while! Hoping a study like this will help get me out of this creative rut I have right now.
Edit: I was so inspired by Diana Mármol’s artwork, that this turned more into a style study! The way she carefully makes every shape full of purpose and life is truly incredible. Also focusing on how she uses contrast in gradients to effectively seperate shap...

My forearms have been hurting lately, so I haven’t been drawing much. Been taking a pause so I could work on Monday without any setbacks. I think it’s from biking a lot for the first time in my life, can that put muscle strain on your wrists?

Wildflowers
I started this piece last week and took a little break from drawing this week so when I finally got back to it, I did not have the momentum to finish it. Felt like a drag 😪 Especially because I had no idea what colours I wanted to use. Green and purple? Blue and green? I don’t usually use these colour combos so it was tough to visualize. It was another challenge when I found out I can only have 34 layers on this piece, so I had to keep merging layers as I painted.

I wanted to give you an update on some changes that we’ll be seeing which may affect some of your pledges. Due to new laws passing in several countries and US states, Patreon will be required to start charging sales tax on some pledges starting July 1st.
