Here are some steps from trying to figure out next month's print.. wolves didn't work for me because the ViBeS weren't there. Tigers are rounder and softer and I felt like that worked with the colours and the tropical plants better. What do you guys think?
I spent almost two hours on this and I haven't started work, I should get on that C YA!

My thumbnailing process while trying to come up with a composition for this print. I didn’t go with the second image (which was my first idea) cuz I thought it was taking itself too seriously and a very dramatic piece- I think I would have to paint it cleaner to reflect the mood better. I gave it another go and came up with this more fun and loose composition where I’d go in with a very sketchy technique.

feel like i've been doing these backgrounds forever! so glad to finish them up before the holiday break. when i get back in january, i'll be able to move forward to animation. and hopefully, by then i'll have a scratch track in the animatic to time the animation better.
how would you like to see the behind-the-scenes for animation?

here's a second pass at the animatic. I put in a lot of the finished BGs to see what it looks like so far. and added a big more bulk to the montage middle. the timing isn't finalized with the middle yet, because i'm still waiting on my musician to become available, so once i get a rough track, i'll be able to make the timing of the middle montage a lot more precise.
But i'd love to hear your feedback with this latest update! is the writing too fast to read sometimes? (excuse my bad hand...

Got a new IPad Pro, 12.9” and giving it a test! Feels really good. Apple Pencil 2nd gen is way better than 1st gen! Haven’t drawn personal art in a while, haven’t been feeling it and been focusing on my film, so this was nice :)
