Quick Update

Hey everyone, sorry it's been quiet in here recently. Been trying to re-center myself over this break month. I won't lie the whole social media Twitter collapse thing has been causing me a metric ton of anxiety which has not been great for my mental as an artist that relies on social media for work. That being said, nothing is really changing for me. I'm just continuing on as normal and hoping that social media does too.  

I did want to make a note of a couple things happening soon...

July Patreon Hiatus

Patches update

Got sent images for the patch samples! They're being sent to production now. The cat/raven patch has gold foil on the yellow ^^

New merch incoming

Wanted to do a quick update since I've been a bit under the weather mentally and didn't want to leave y'all in the dark. This is what I've been working on! Gonna be making a couple of new pins and a four new patches. These will be the first patches I've ever done so I'm hoping they come out cool.

Water studies as cats + wip pics

Wanted to practice painting stylized water. I think it needs a bit more refinement before it's where I want it to be but I like how these lil guys turned out. I may make them into a sticker set!

wanted to paint something calming. been a bit on edge ever since the move - I think it's part of moving so often. 

Going to be painting a series of animals in preparation for making my portfolio and con merch a bit more cohesive and pulled in. This will also be the print for this month!

closing time + WIPs

slammed this piece out. Not totally sure if it's gonna be the postcard or the print, but the theming bonus is still there. Been really trying to loosen my brushstrokes and shape language, especially with plants.

Florist - May sticker

It was a fun time to actually make myself draw that bouquet of sunflowers. Usually when I draw plants I kind of just gloss over them and lump them into a big blob but I wanted to challenge myself a little more and actually make the flowers look nice.

I've been in the process of moving into an apartment with my partner and it's definitely been a bit of a hurdle. I have my work area set up at the very least so I will be able to get back to working on art.

I was enjoying this piece a lot so I just went ahead and finished it. I tried to paint this using only techniques I would use for sketching and drawing (lots and lots of hatching) and I like how it came out. ^^

Not a ton going on this month that's different from last month, but here's the big ones.
