Eternal Flame: An Adventure in Space and Time

The story is an intersection of various genres: technothriller, political thriller, character drama, but there is a science fiction aspect to the whole thing, naturally.

Spoiler on the first part of this: I don't know if this was a good or terrible idea. I don't write linearly, and I had this bracketed section with "breaching the facility" in it. Eternal Flame: It Wasn't a Miracle, We Just Decided To Go

The story operate on a principle of what I call "the present, refined." That is, if we can do it now, we can do it in 2043 better. For that reason, things like a space station, or a robot, or an artificial intelligence, or a domed city in the arctic - which all are in this sample - try to operate on current ideas, just refined. The obvious exception being the time communication equipment, which Martin gets into in more detail as well.

In some ways it's sci-fi, in some ways it's a technothriller, in some ways it's a political thriller, and in some ways, it's the classic story of girl meets boy, girl loses boy, girl and boy reconnect 18 years later and resume their friendship, boy builds robots, girl becomes president, girl starts a nuclear war, boy tries to survive the post-apocalyptic world while carrying the burden of guilt over unresolved issues with girl. That old chestnut.

As we shift away from Lone Wolf for now, we head to the short-lived Middle Earth Quest series, Night of the Nazgul. It's quite different from Lone Wolf, and much shorter - only three parts. It's clearly a game book made for repeated use. 

Only one chapter of Mission Gamma, as it closes out part 1 of the book.

Officers and up, a lot of scripts are written, just need to be recorded and edited, so expect some stuff tomorrow!
