Eternal Flame: Captain Le Roy & The West Wing

To say I am thankful for all of you would be an understatement. I couldn't possibly do what I do without all of you who help keep the show going. 

This includes some of the scenes from the book I'm working on, Eternal Flame. It's about one third action to two thirds world-building and plot. For context in 2043, World War III breaks out, leading to nuclear war. Some of the story is set in 2063, though, so it isn't the end, as this part helpfully explains.

Korra Season 1 (Air) finished!

Oof, this was worse than I thought. Part 6 had a different problem than Part 1. Part 1 was missing and I had to wing it. Part 6 had the source files completely different from the ones originally used, so I had to build a modified source file for the editor to use, and then every single clip had to be checked against the original version to get them to align. Took about 5 hours, plus another hour to actually edit it. So, here's next week's Korra!

Getting into recent disruptions (and my vacation)

My normal policy has always been to fix whatever annoyed the bot and reupload, but there are cases where they want to move something both clearly essential and clearly, undeniably, fair use. Vacation

Tomorrow is my 50th birthday. I will be taking a week's vacation as a treat, so if I don't answer your email, this time it's because I'm on vacation, as opposed to my usual state of being too anxious to talk to people.

Fringe Follow-up

I'm writing this while waiting on the YouTube bots again, and thought I'd share.

I'd hoped to get the second half of the Fringe pilot episode (it's a double-length one like DS9's Emissary) out to officers and up on Wednesday, but suddenly I had a problem with the mortgage company that took hours to sort out and I barely had time for it. How to finish up June

If you listened to that long post, you know that I keep getting interrupted trying to get a loan to build a garage. This month has been crazy disrupted by me trying to figure out what they need from me. They told me last week that it should just be a formality at this point, and I even opened a discussion with a contractor.

Just a quick note

My doctor put me on some new medication and told me to get my circadian rhythm straightened out. Between the two I've been really exhausted and unable to focus. I'd been hoping to get a few things out, but I just am struggling with basic thinking right now. I hope to get things straight soon.
