Asher sketch w/ color + more

Debuting in SWORD KINGS is Asher, a blind mage who uses both darkness and healing magicks. He can distinguish between shadows and light, so his eyesight isn't complete darkness like a lot of interpretations in fiction. The darkness specialty is to help him create magical ambience that helps shield his eyes, which are sensitive to light.

His lover is Arka the swordsman, who travels and brings him back crystals and ideas for techniques he can use in his arcane arts. He describes the world...

ACE OF BEASTS #1 edited plot stuff

For the Third Edition of the print book, I decided to add some foreshadowing for future plot details via dialogue / narration. It is common practice to improve on books with subsequent print editions, and the previous printed versions of AoB #1 (not First Edition, I'm referring to the single-issues) are still canon, this edition just adds some cool important stuff they're thinking and going through.

Arka design

A new-ish character, Arka is a lone adventurer who doesn't talk much and is just happy to be there. He doesn't look like it, but he's an introvert.

He has a beloved pet gryphon named Ghoulshine and he likes dressing to the nines (he's not vain though, and dislikes flashiness in favor of classiness).

Sect of Strato symbol update + card edits

To avoid unintentional symbolism / coincidences of design / trademarks and what have you, I made some changes to the Sect's symbol - now it is a straight up alchemical fire symbol, but black and gold (also a classical minimalist 'male' symbol, both of which was what it was supposed to be before, but hey.).
