Hey everyone!
Today is going to be a weird one, which probably won't capture the interest of a lot of you: were going to talk about French politics, as the far right party is poised to rise to power in France.
If you don't care about this, don't worry, next week should be back to the usual Linux & Open Source rant :D
Have a great week!

Hey everyone!
Here is what I'll be working on in July, and what you can vote on!
Linux News: as usual, every Saturday, so 4 of these videos in July
Cosmic Desktop Alpha: for real this time, the date seems set to the end of the month, so after 4 months of me saying I'll review the alpha, I might finally be able to do so!
There is no "best" desktop: just a little opinion piece on the heated state of conversation about desktops and tiling ...

Hey everyone!
In this episode, I talk about the recent Peertube problems that prevent my videos from appearing there (thanks, Google...), and more generally about alternative platforms, self hosting, and why it's just not taking over centralized, established platforms any time soon.
I hope you'll enjoy listening to this one, and I hope you'll have a fantastic week!

Hey everyone!
I'm back from my vacation, so here is your new episode of the Patroncast! I mistakenly state it's episode 22 in the podcast itself, but it's episode 24....
So, in this one, I talk about:
00:46 Rome, my vacation there, the things I loved and the things I didn't quite like
11:29 Youtube injecting ads in the video stream to bypass adblockers, and my opinion on that
I hope you'll enjoy this one, and have a great week!

Hey everyone!
In this one, I talk about:
00:34 Going on vacation, next steps for the new flat
12:07 Judging from the results of my recent survey, am I delusional about the state of the Linux desktop? My experience doesn't match at all with the results I got, and it made me think that I might be overenthusiastic
I hope you'll enjoy listening to this one, and have a great week!

Hey everyone!
In this one, I talk about:
01:03 The "Linux problems" survey, a few first data points and insights from it
12:10 Desktop environments, and whether they should ship their desktops directly to the user, maybe in the form of Flatpaks, where users could choose a "desktop image" they want to use, whatever the distro base
Let me know your thoughts in the comments, and have a great week!
