it already took more time than any piece i’ve made before (the last champ took about 25 hour and this one already took about 30 — and i’m only halfway through!)

i’m kinda sad i don’t draw (and post) anything else but it is an incredibly important and pleasurable experience that i hope will make a good impact on my skill and background handling. i won’t be scared of drawing anything after that!! so stay tuned my dudes <3

i struggled A LOT trying to figure out what to do with coloring or/and filters to make it look more like it should to — but in the end here it is! just the way it was born. pretty quick one actually! the pic itself took around three hours (and color/filter struggles took as much time in the end i guess haha! another… ‘let’s start and then figure out what it’s going to be’ piece. relaxing as always! she is another byaka’s goddess btw <3

some important schedule updates!

everyone has their artblock-like periods of time i guess. for me it isn’t The Artblock right now but i do have a theory what’s going on with me — and a pretty legit solution.

i think i need to start posting pics to social media right after they are done again. long story short: it seems like i need to renew an important structure in my brain. i draw stuff > i get some likes and kind words if i’m lucky enough > my brain says oh yess serotonin yummy delicious mmmMMM you know what FINALLY some good fucking food i should draw again to get more

so… yeah! there’re going to be some updates to give this theory a chance

• there’ll be no more early access to most things i post here; but i think they’ll be posted on Patreon a few hours or days earlier than anywhere sometimes

• some percentage of pics will be only available here tho

• there’re going to be more step-by-step posts

• i’ll post PSD files as soon as i figure out how to do it here!! haha

• also i plan to publish here PSD/PNG stuff with some items from my pics like jewelry, armor, clothing or backgrounds so you can use them for practice or time economy while drawing yourself! the only rule is to link my profile when you post something using those anywhere.

I painted my face black, and unbraided my hair. Red Wings cut two slits in the skin of my back and fastened the end of a rope in the strip between them, and attached a bull buffalo skull to the other end of it. For two days, with many rests, but fast- ing all the time, I endured the pain of dragging that skull about in and around the sacred lodge, pray- ing Sun all the time to pity me and give me full life. Toward evening of the second day the rope tore out from my back and I was free, but so weak that I could hardly stand. Half-cariying me, my mother and grandmother got me home and fed me, and told me that Red Wings had everything arranged for me to count my coups the next day.
